Description
The first thing you’ll notice as you pull up is the space surrounding the property. If you’re looking to extend like some of the neighbouring homes, whether to the front or rear, this bungalow offers a fantastic opportunity to make a great home even better.
As you enter, there’s a handy porch, the perfect place to take off shoes before coming inside. The hallway itself is a fantastic size, making hellos and goodbyes feel easy without ever feeling closed in.
To the right is the principal bedroom, comfortably sized for a king-size bed or even two singles. There’s still plenty of room for wardrobes, bedside tables and a dressing table, all enhanced by a large window that fills the room with natural light.
The other two bedrooms are also positioned at the front of the house and are similar in size, offering great flexibility. They could be arranged as one double and one single bedroom, or used as a home office, hobby room, or guest room, depending on your needs.
Adjacent to these bedrooms is the family bathroom, featuring a bath and a separate shower, along with a handy W/C. The layout is practical and convenient, making it easy for a family or guests to use.
The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen and living room, separated by a working open fireplace. It strikes the perfect balance, open enough for entertaining and socialising, yet defined enough to create a cosy, more private feel when you want it.
The kitchen is fitted with stylish shaker-style units and contrasting dark worktops. An island adds extra workspace and storage and could also serve as a breakfast bar, ideal for a quick bite or casual dining.
The living room easily accommodates a three-piece suite or a modern corner sofa. One of its standout features is the open fireplace, perfect for lighting on chilly winter nights and curling up with a film, creating a warm and inviting space to relax.
To complete the internal space, the current owners have added a conservatory that runs the length of the house, creating both a dining area and a snug seating space. This versatile room could be used in a number of ways, and glass doors provide direct access to the garden, bringing the outdoors in.
The garden is a fantastic size and laid out on different levels, giving it a real sense of space and versatility. Many people pay landscapers to create zones, and this garden has them naturally. At the bottom is a large patio area, perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying outdoor dining. The middle level is laid out to lawn, while the top level combines both patio and lawn space.
There’s also potential to extend the bungalow at the rear to create even more space, or, as mentioned earlier, to extend to the front, subject to planning permission. Additional features include access to the garage, driveway parking, and a handy storage solution, making this home both practical and enjoyable.
More about the location...
Newton Longville is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of Buckinghamshire. The village is about 2 miles (3 km) south-west of Bletchley.
The main industry in the village between 1847 and 1991 was brick making. The village had a large brick factory, originally belonging to the Read family, becoming the Bletchley Brick company in 1923, and then taken over by the London Brick Company (LBC) in 1929. The works made Fletton bricks and distributed them all over the country. It was closed in November 1991 after Hanson Trust bought the London Brick Company.
Newton Longville Church of England Combined School is a mixed, voluntary controlled primary school, that takes children between the ages of four and eleven. It has slightly over 200 pupils.
