The Baglio is in good condition and retains all the charm of Sicilian rural architecture, with the typical central courtyard around which the entire complex is laid out.
The entrance, marked by an evocative vaulted passage with stone-slab flooring, leads to the striking Trapani-style staircase that provides access to the upper floors: on the first floor there are two apartments, while continuing on you reach the second floor, where there is a room with an adjoining WC, probably used in the past as the caretaker's quarters. Lastly, you arrive at the splendid crenellated turret, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire property.

On the ground floor, instead, there is a series of storage rooms both inside and outside the Baglio, finely renovated and divided into several rooms, with the possibility of modifications connected, for example, to agricultural use or hospitality operations, as provided for by the local zoning plan.

The complex covers a total area of about 950 sq m, offering ample spaces and multiple possibilities of use. The property is completed by a large area of about 1,500 sq m with marble paving, a versatile space that can be reimagined and enhanced for various activities, from events to hospitality or parking.

The estate now extends over nearly three hectares of land, including olive groves, arable land, and open areas that further enhance the natural setting.

Curiosity

The name "Baglio America Nica" contains a story deeply tied to the memory of the area. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Trapani area was hit by a severe economic crisis: malaria, natural disasters-including a devastating flood that lasted more than 50 hours-and the harsh working conditions of those years drove hundreds of people to seek their fortune by emigrating to America. Between 1902 and 1907, more than a thousand residents of the area left their land in the hope of offering a better future to their families.
In this difficult context, the Burgarella farm represented a rare positive exception. Workers were paid according to the actual hours worked, and anyone who wanted to work was welcomed simply by bringing a hoe. For many farmers, that place became a sort of "Little America!", a symbol of opportunity and dignity: hence the affectionate name "Bagghiu da Merica Nica". The owner, Agostino Burgarella, was known for his great generosity toward those most in need, which is why this place has always been well regarded and has remained in the heart of the local community.

Dattilo is also known for its culinary excellence, in particular for what many consider the best cannolo in the Trapani area, attracting visitors and enthusiasts from across the region. Also strategic is the proximity to the main airports, which guarantee fast connections with the major Italian and European cities, making the area easily accessible and ideal for both short and extended stays.
