Although recognised as a 'Farm', Jose Lomas Farm is actually close to 14 acres of meadows and woodland with an existing brick-built building plus stable and barn rather than a working farm with accommodation. The land currently houses horses and pigs and in addition to the buildings there is a water supply and power is provided via a LPG gas fired generator. Recent planning decisions have confirmed that further agricultural buildings could be erected without requiring planning permission under the Agricultural Permitted Development rules (see application DC/087808) for full details. Also, following an appeal that was lodged against declined permission to convert the existing stables into a farm house, it has been hinted that temporary rural worker accommodation MAY be approved and more permanent rural worker accommodation might be considered should a rural business become 'established' on the site (see Appeal Ref: APP/C4235/W/25/3362376 for full details).
