Description
Situated in an area of Market Drayton where properties rarely come on to the market, is this spacious two bedroom mews house and to appreciate the size of the living accommodation, we recommend an internal inspection. The property itself does require some updating to bring up to modern standards and once complete, will make a fantastic home. The kitchen units were replaced in April 2026 and a new carpet has been fitted in April 2026 to the open plan lounge/diner. The town circular collects and drops off close by in Farcroft Drive and if you are unable to drive, this service could prove very useful. It operates six days of the week, excluding Sunday’s.
Market Drayton is a small market town in north Shropshire, close to the Welsh Border. It is on the River Tern, between Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent, and was formerly known as "Drayton in Hales" (c. 1868) and earlier simply as "Drayton" (c. 1695). Market Drayton is on the Shropshire Union Canal and on Regional Cycle Route 75. The A53 road by-passes the town. The counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Welsh Border are close by.
Market Drayton has a lot to offer including all the beautiful architecture, fantastic street market every Wednesday, Cinema, public houses, a variety of restaurants, swimming baths, nursery, primary, secondary and sixth form colleges.
DO YOU NEED TO COMMUTE?
Something to consider is the mainline railway stations of Stafford, Stoke-On-Trent and Crewe are all within a forty minutes’ drive and Manchester Airport and Birmingham airport are around one hour away. East Midlands Airport is slightly further and overall if you are having to commute, then this location is sure to prove popular.
As you approach the property from underneath the front porch, a wooden front door opens into the large open plan lounge/diner, this has a double glazed window to the front elevation, two double glazed windows to the side elevation, one being a bay window, two electric storage heaters, ceiling coving, useful under stairs space and the turning stairway leads up to the first floor accommodation. The kitchen houses new fitted wall and base storage units only, work surface, single drainer stainless steel sink with mixer tap over, fitted glass and stainless steel electric oven, four ring electric hob with cooker hood over, space for fridge/freezer, space for washing machine, part tiled walls, wood effect floor covering and a double glazed window to the front elevation.
The landing provides access to the roof space, airing cupboard, doors to the two bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom one has a double glazed window to the side elevation, electric heater and built-in double wardrobe, bedroom two has a double glazed window to the front elevation, built-in wardrobe and an electric heater. The bathroom is fitted with a suite comprising a panelled bath, pedestal wash hand basin, low level wc, electric wall heater, part tiled walls, tiled effect flooring and a double glazed window to the front elevation.
