Dating back to 1832 and originally a Wesleyan Chapel. This unique building has been restored for the local community and is now known as The Depozitory which allows local talents and artists to enjoy working within the historic building.

History

Major refurbishment started in 2000 and has continued over the years. The open plan first floor has been divided into an airy open reception area and rooms have been partitioned off to allow for individual art display area, working art areas and meeting rooms. The first floor which still has the original 1832 ceiling rose is currently one large room with two smaller rooms to the front. Two winding sets of stairs connect these two levels.
The current basement has a chequered floor and is currently used as a display area for local artists, near and far.
Currently the whole property is used for a variety of events from annual dinner dances, arts group and display exhibitions.
The current owners are keen for this historic building to give joy to the arts world and hopes that it will continue to provide a space for local artists.
