Description
A welcoming front garden with a mature, established feel, framed by a variety of seasonal planting and greenery. A standout feature is the characterful wisteria that climbs around the entrance, bringing charm and, when in bloom, a beautiful cascade of colour. Complemented by a striking magnolia and a mix of shrubs and planting, the space feels private and inviting — creating an attractive approach to the home.
The Property
Set on a well-regarded residential road, this impressive home has been thoughtfully reworked to create a natural flow between living, cooking and entertaining.
To the rear, the house opens up into a standout kitchen / dining space — a shaker-style kitchen with breakfast bar seating, leading into a dining area flooded with natural light. Double doors open directly onto the garden, making this the true heart of the home, equally suited to everyday living and hosting.
A separate front reception room offers a more relaxed retreat, rich in character with high ceilings, detailed cornicing and a feature fireplace.
Upstairs, four well-proportioned bedrooms are arranged across the upper floors, supported by two bathrooms, offering flexibility for families or those needing work-from-home space.
A ground floor guest WC and separate utility room add the practical touches that make day-to-day living that bit easier.
Garden & Garden Office
The garden has a lovely, established feel and is clearly designed for both relaxing and entertaining. Stepping out from the rear of the house, you’re met with a generous decked terrace — a natural extension of the kitchen and dining space — ideal for outdoor dining or summer evenings with friends. This leads into a lawned area, framed by mature trees and planting that provide a good sense of privacy and greenery. A pergola structure adds character while subtly defining a seating area, and a stepping stone pathway draws you through the garden, giving it both depth and flow.
To the rear, the garden opens up further, offering a balance between usable space and softer, more natural planting. It’s the kind of garden that feels established rather than newly done — something that takes time to achieve and is increasingly hard to find.
Set at the back of the plot is a well-designed garden office, creating a clear separation from the main house. Finished with a timber exterior, it has a clean, contemporary look that sits comfortably within the greenery. Inside, the space is bright and practical, with good natural light from the glazed doors and windows, and a layout that works well for home working, a studio, or even a quiet retreat. The structure is insulated and fitted with power and lighting, making it suitable for year-round use, and benefits from wired high-speed internet — a real advantage for those working from home or needing a reliable, fast connection.
The Area
A short distance away is Bowes Park, delivering a village-like feel with Myddleton Road at its heart — known for its independent coffee spots, restaurants, and well-loved monthly market. The area also benefits from a selection of good local pubs, adding to its strong community feel. Bounds Green Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) and a short walk to Alexander Palace Overground are both within easy reach, providing direct access into Central London and beyond.
Message From The Owners
We've absolutely loved living here, and the location is hard to beat. You're just 20 minutes by tube to King's Cross and 30 minutes to Oxford Circus, yet the moment you step outside, it feels a world away from the city, our street is quiet with no through traffic, and the neighbourhood has a real community feel. One of our favourite things is the walk to Alexandra Palace, which takes you through green parks almost the entire way; the Palace itself is only 15 minutes on foot and hosts an incredible range of gigs, shows and events throughout the year. There's plenty of green space nearby for dog walks, well-regarded local schools, and genuinely friendly neighbours. We are really going to miss living here.
