The village of Bishops Sutton is located just 1.5 miles from the popular market town of Alresford with its varied mix of independent shops and businesses. There is a regular bus service from Bishops Sutton to Alresford, Winchester and Alton. The nearby A31 goes to Winchester and the south coast in one direction, and to Alton, Farnham and London in the other. The village is surrounded by rolling Hampshire countryside with a good variety of walks in various directions. There is an active community in the village, centred around the village hall, church and The Ship, a well-known pub with restaurant. Rail services to London are available from Alton and Winchester.

DIRECTIONS
From the centre of Alresford, go out of the town along East Street. Follow the road (B3047) towards Bishops Sutton. Water Lane will be found on the left, past the village hall. Springfield will be found after a short distance on the right hand side. No. 4 is the furthest house along the footpath.
