Description

Welcome to 5 Pearce Close! Chain free and open to offers!

This is the current owners writing this! Not the estate agents or AI. We wanted to tell you about our house ourselves, because we’ve lived here for 11 amazing years. We’re only moving because we ran out of bedrooms for our four kids!

The highlights for us have been being so close to the town centre (no need to pay for car parking!), the proximity to good local schools, and a shop and garage just two minutes’ walk away, which is very handy for milk and wine—two things that seem to run out very quickly in our family! There’s also a green space just across the road, accessed by the underpass, which is perfect for taking the kids out to play. Streamleaze play park is just 5 minutes walk, fully accessed by footpaths and no roads.

The kitchen/diner and lounge have been wonderful family spaces, full of light in the summer and cosy in the winter. The four decent-sized bedrooms have worked really well for our large family, and it’s been incredibly practical having three loos and two bathrooms.

We built the garden office in 2017, and it’s been a sanctuary for work, craft and just another space to escape to. It’s very well insulated to keep it cosy in winter, with wired internet to make the most of your broadband speed, and close enough to the kitchen for regular coffee breaks. We had the back garden professionally landscaped at the same time. It’s a low-maintenance little haven, perfect for summer sunbathing, with a nice flat surface for a paddling pool!

There is loads of storage too. The garage does actually fit a car in it, with boarded rafters above, and the loft is centrally boarded along the full length of the house—capable of hiding an awful lot of boxes! There’s also a large, purpose-built garden shed, big enough for bikes, prams or sun loungers. The drive way is long enough for one large car/van, or 2 short ones, and we have a parking spot along the back wall too.

The front door opens onto a quiet footpath, convenient for walking straight into town without going along the roads. The neighbours in Pearce Close and the adjoining streets are lovely and friendly—we’ve had a street WhatsApp group since Covid, and we all look out for each other and give each other a hand if needed. It’s definitely the modern version of ’Neighbourhood Watch’!

We’d love you to come and have a look. It’s a bit emptier than it was, but you’ll be able to get a sense of the size of the rooms and how you can put your own stamp on it. We’re happy to consider sensible offers!

Please get in touch with any questions. We can tell you how many plug sockets there are, or when the boiler was last serviced, but we can also tell you the important things, like where the best place for the Christmas tree is, or where to set the sun lounger up!
