Entering into the hall (5m2), to your left is a bedroom (27m2) with windows to the garden and front of the property. Straight ahead is a shower room (7m2) with shower, sink and WC. To your right is the fitted kitchen/dining room (30m2) with pellet burning stove. There are windows to the front of the property and a door with steps down to the covered veranda (13m2) from where you can access the living room (25m2) with wood burning stove. Off a hall (4m2) is a bathroom (5m2) which has a bath, sink and WC and bedroom (19m2) with patio doors to the front of the property.

Back to the covered terrace, steps lead down to the courtyard garden. From here you can access the two barns. The ground floor (56m2) of the barn facing the property has a wood burning stove and could be used all year. It also has a first floor which could also be converted. The second barn, to the right of the property, is currently used for storage and as a workshop. A room (8m2) attached to this barn is used as an office. There is also a separate room that runs behind which would once have stored wine barrels.

Back out at the front of the property, as well as the large garden which is mostly laid to lawn with flower beds, a vegetable garden and orchard, there is an above ground swimming pool, which has been decked to provide a lovely sun terrace, and also a summer house.

This property is situated in a tranquil hamlet. It is 10 minutes from the town of Les Ormes with its pretty chateau which is open to the public and all the shops and services that you would need for everyday living. The historic walled town of Richelieu is about 20 minutes away.

The Loire valley chateaux and vineyards are close by to explore and for young visitors, Futuroscope, the 3D and 4D theme park is 40 minutes away in Poitiers. Easily accessible from the UK, Ryanair fly to both Tours and Poitiers airports (approximately 45 minutes away) from London Stansted. You can take the TGV to Paris in under an hour and a half from Chatellerault which is 20 minutes away and it takes around 3 and a half hours to drive from the ferry port at Caen Ouistreham.
