Old Heathfield is a small hamlet with a lovely 14th century, local pub, church, cricket club and primary school. Further out of the village is Heathfield Community College which is still within walking distance. The hamlet consists mainly period properties with surrounding countryside and many footpaths.
Tucked down a very small lane, just to the right of the pub, the house then has a long private driveway taking it into the countryside.
The town of Heathfield still holds local markets and is well served with a good range of local shops, supermarkets including Waitrose, Sainsbury's Co-Op and a small Tesco. There are cafés, restaurants and takeaways, along with another local pub, churches and many social clubs and activities which take place throughout the year. The larger towns of Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne are both roughly 25/30 minutes drive. The nearest main line station is Stonegate (15 minutes) but there are others in the area on a different lines within 20/25 minutes drive.
Directions: Go to The Star Inn pub in Old Heathfield. Turn right just by the entrance and down the driveway almost to the end. Turn left by a brick barn into the private drive to the house.
