Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in the British Waterways area has been a really positive experience overall. The local area offers a great mix of shops, restaurants, and cafes, all within easy reach, making day-to-day life very convenient. There are also some lovely open spaces nearby which are perfect for relaxing or going for walks, especially along the canal which adds a nice, peaceful atmosphere. Transport links are excellent, with reliable connections that make commuting and getting around Nottinghamshire straightforward. Whether it’s buses, trains, or nearby stations, everything is easily accessible. The street itself is generally quiet and well-maintained, with regular bin collections and no major issues with anti-social behaviour. Traffic noise is minimal most of the time, which makes it a comfortable place to live. Overall, it’s a well-connected, convenient, and pleasant area that I’ve really enjoyed living in

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always responded quickly and efficiently to any issues I’ve raised. Will and Bernadette are very approachable, helpful, and ensure problems are resolved promptly with clear communication throughout.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is just how supportive and responsive the building team is, especially Will and Bernadette. It’s something you don’t fully appreciate during a viewing, but it makes a big difference day to day. I’d also say to new neighbours to make the most of the local area and transport links, as everything is very convenient and adds to the overall living experience.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

In a great area in nottingham by the canal! got an amazing selection of shops and right in the centre of Nottingham. unfortunately no parking and there’s a lot of work being done in the buildings surrounding but not a lot of noise thankfully

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They respond via email or are also around Monday -Friday so we can go down stairs and raise anything if needed

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Can view property online which is great. Other than that not much else i can think of. I was very well informed of everything during my viewing and could easily raise any questions i had with Will or Bernadette.

    Manager's response

Thank you so much for your fantastic review Sydney! We are so pleased to hear that you are enjoying your life living at British Waterways and making the most of everything we have to offer! Bernadette and I are very grateful for your kind words - we are always here if you need anything. We appreciate your understanding regarding our lack of parking facilities and surrounding works, if the neighbouring teams do cause too much of a disturbance be sure to let us know so we can have a conversation with them. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us and we are so pleased to have you here in our British Waterways community!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is suitable for any working individual or student as there is local public transport around( bus stops and a tram station) two 2 small supermarkets, cafés, pubs, and restaurants a few minute walk away with views of the lovely Nottingham Canal

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

every issue I’ve raised to them has been dealt with in a timely manner throughout my residency.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Everything was pretty clear in the website. I guess when I first moved in, I didn’t know there were LED lights under the kitchen cabinets, which are really wonderful at night time. I randomly discovered them a week ago, even though I’ve lived in this building for about six months now.

    Manager's response

Hi Hend, Thank you for your thoughtful review! We are happy to hear you enjoy the aesthetic of the building as much as we do and that you have had such positive experiences with the team. We appreciate the feedback about the kitchen lights, we will be sure to start mentioning them to our new residents during their move in experience. Thanks again, we are so pleased to have you as part of the British Waterways community!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

BW is a fabulous development with an extremely convenient location. I travel quite a lot and being close to the station was crucial for me when choosing a flat, and BW truly delivered on that point. Living on the canal cannot be more delightful, and being close to basically everything that Notts has to offer in the city centre is really great. BW is very well connected to the rest of the city (tram, bus) and the country (trains, coaches). I have not experienced any anti-social behaviour, traffic or any other noise in my months living here, nor any odours from the canal.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have not had any issues to report or to be in contact with the landlord.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing really, everything was absolutely clear during my viewing.

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is very convenient with many shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby. Public transport is easy to access and makes getting around the city simple. It’s a lively area with many students around and overall feels safe and comfortable to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They were very fast and took care of it the next day with ease.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

“I wish I were able to pay rent in shorter periods rather than committing to a full year. It’s not the worst for me, but it may be difficult for others.

    Manager's response

Hi Ameen, Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review, we are delighted to hear that you are loving life at British Waterways and hope you continue to do so throughout the rest of your time here. Bernie and I are incredibly grateful for your kind words, we will keep doing everything we can so that all British Waterways tenants have the best experience with us.
