Brickfield Cottage is a semi-detached cottage surrounded by open fields and with far-reaching views. Built of brick elevations under a pantile roof with inset double-glazed casement windows, the construction date of 1880 is set out in pale brick on the gable end. The cottage was sympathetically extended in the 1970s and latterly in 2004.

There is an abundance of craftmanship and character throughout the interior, with handmade cupboards and a fine burr oak staircase. The front door opens to the dining area and kitchen, which is fitted with a bespoke Luxmoore kitchen with an excellent range of units, with granite worktops with space for a range cooker and integrated dishwasher. A wide full-height unit provides extra storage with two integrated fridge freezers. There is ample dining space and ash plank flooring with a door to the rear garden.

An archway leads through to the family room which forms the hub of the cottage, with a brick fireplace housing a wood burner with built-in cupboards and shelves at either side and brick flooring. A door opens to the sitting room, also with a brick chimney breast and wood burner as well as terracotta tiled floor, with views over the front garden. The utility room has built-in storage cupboards and plumbing for a washing machine. Downstairs shower room with shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.

On the first-floor are three bedrooms, all with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The main bedroom is triple-aspect with seagrass flooring, and the family bathroom has an oval resin bath with a WC and handbasin. A further staircase rises to the second-floor fourth bedroom.

Studio
At the bottom of the garden is a versatile detached studio with weatherboard clad elevations under a pantile roof. The main living area has a vaulted ceiling with pine floorboards, a kitchenette and a shower room. Stairs rise to a mezzanine storage area which could also be used as an occasional sleeping area.

Outside
The front garden has an assortment of fruit trees and a hand gate fronting the road. A farm track provides access to the side of the cottage. To the rear of the property is a block paved terrace with a garden pond and storage shed. The garden is planted with numerous shrubs and mature trees including fruit trees and oak and enclosed by hedgerow and fencing.
