Description

REF: 1455700. A long time ago, I said I'd never live in a bungalow (I enjoyed my bedroom being upstairs). Then I lived in a bungalow and was hooked! And I can quite see why this lovely property is going to appeal. For a start - it's a great size! Originally built to a three bedroom design, someone had the bright idea of taking away the third bedroom which opened up the sitting room into  glorious "L" shaped South facing room overlooking the garden and further onwards into the countryside at the end of the garden! Personally, I think this is what gives this lovely home it's very own USP!

My lovely clients have done a superb job in refurbishing, redecorating, making lovely the whole property and I know they're sorry to have to leave it and yet at the same time looking forward to welcoming new owners to enjoy its many wonderful features!

Everything is 'just right'... the sitting room has double doors leading out onto the lovely level garden and what a garden with a main lawn then flower borders with shrubs and trees and that gorgeous South facing view across the fields. It is truly a 'gardeners' garden.

Where Are We? We're in a little village called Sutton right adjacent to a slightly larger little village called Stanton Harcourt. We are very much in deep, sleepy and rather beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The residents of Sutton itself are a very tight knit and friendly community. There's a great cross section of people of all ages. They have an annual scarecrow competition - completely bizarre and huge fun. An easy ten minute walk away, we have the local pub - The Harcourt Arms. Think newly and beautifully renovated gastro pub with, according to their website, 10 "beautifully designed bedrooms" and actually, they are. Important to bear in mind for the occassional guest overflow.

For everyday shopping and trips out, there is nearby (2.5 miles, 6 mins drive (Google maps)) Eynsham, a pretty village indeed. From the centre of Oxford you're looking at a 10 mile drive so, easily commutable.

Practicalities: Sutton doesn't have a gas supply so heating is via an oil fired boiler supplied by a private oil tank. The garage has power and light.
