Frampton on Severn lies about 10 miles south of Gloucester on the eastern side of the River Severn. The Village Green in Frampton is said to be the longest village green in England, and is about 22 acres in size. Cricket is played on The Green outside the Bell Inn, one of the two Pubs on The Green. The area around The Green has been designated a Conservation area and has a range of architecture spanning several centuries. Much of the village forms part of the Frampton Court Estate, owned by the Clifford family and each year Frampton country fair is held in 30 acres of the beautiful parkland of Frampton Court Estate. With a café and shop all in the local vicinity and the nearby canal the area is great for walking and cycling.
