The settlement has been officially designated as "noteworthy" and is carefully preserved and developed under the supervision of the archaeological authorities, maintaining its strong traditional character. The house is set along a paved village lane (kalderimi), wide enough for a car to reach the entrance. Parking is available in the central square, just 50 meters away. The square features a traditional café that also serves as a small grocery shop, retaining the atmosphere of an earlier era. The wider area has not been affected by mass tourism. The property offers a quiet setting, close contact with nature, and an authentic village environment, away from busy destinations.

The house has been recently fully restored and is now a functional, well-finished residence. The plot is enclosed by a high boundary wall, with the house positioned toward the rear to maximize courtyard space. Access from the lane is through a traditional entrance gate (rougopórta), and the courtyard offers a high degree of privacy. The house is arranged over two levels, connected internally. An external staircase also leads directly to the upper-level balcony. The façades are oriented southwest, and even from the ground floor there are open views toward the ridge of the White Mountains and the surrounding natural landscape.

The village is surrounded by cypress groves and olive orchards and offers several walking and hiking routes in nature. Nearby, there are also many villages worth exploring. At a distance of approximately 5 km is Agioi Pantes, Apokoronas, where you will find mini markets, a restaurant, and a small selection of shops. The area also provides easy access to Crete's northern highway (VOAK), which is planned for upgrade as part of the new road network on the island. Within about a 15-minute drive are two towns; Vryses and Vamos, offering all essential daily amenities, including schools, banks, and services. The city of Chania and Chania International Airport are approximately 45 and 50 minutes away by car, respectively.
