One of the best improvements we made was extending the annex to include a modern kitchen, along with its own shower room and toilet. This additional space has been invaluable, ideal for guests, independent living, or simply giving family members extra privacy when needed.
Chapel View sits just off Croham Valley Road, one of the area’s most desirable and well regarded residential pockets. It offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquillity: close to everything you need, yet peaceful, green and wonderfully relaxing. Being near local shops, including a handy off licence and a lovely flower shop has made everyday life easy; while the surrounding neighbourhood has always felt safe, friendly and welcoming.
We’ve especially enjoyed the nearby green spaces and walking routes, which offer a real sense of calm and community. The neighbours have been brilliant over the years and the warm atmosphere has made this an especially enjoyable place to live.
Transport links have also been a major advantage. With frequent bus routes including the 60, 119, 166 and 405 getting around Croydon and beyond has always been straightforward. South Croydon and nearby stations offer excellent rail connections, and the tram network provides further flexibility for commuting and travelling across the area. Another aspect we’ve always appreciated is the potential this home still offers.
The garden and attic both present exciting opportunities for future extension or development (subject to the usual permissions), giving the next owners the chance to add even more space and value over time. This home has given us comfort, convenience and countless happy memories over the last 22 years. Our only reason for moving is to be closer to family.
