The village offers a strong sense of community with a village hall, recreation ground, and St Bartholomew’s Church. Excellent local schools include Bodsham Primary and Wye Free School, with Wye also offering a range of amenities and its own rail station, just one stop from Ashford International—home to high-speed trains to London in 37 minutes.

For wider travel, Canterbury West station provides Javelin high-speed services to Ebbsfleet, Stratford, and St Pancras in under an hour, making Waltham an ideal base for both country living and commuting.
