Description
DESCRIPTION
2 Bridgefoot Cottages is a very pretty, Grade II listed, mid-terrace country cottage located in a quiet rural location in the popular village of Stedham. The cottage, one of five terraced properties was built in the 1840’s and has attractive external elevations of stone with brick quoins, interspersed with leaded light windows, under a clay tiled roof. The property was completely refurbished a few years ago and the accommodation is very well presented with some lovely period features. The house is approached through delightful communal gardens leading to the front door that opens into a small lobby, opening into a good size sitting room, with space for a dining table, and with an attractive fireplace incorporating a wood burning stove, with adjacent storage space for logs. The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a good range of wall and base units with a granite work top, fitted with undercounter double electric oven with hob and extractor over, an integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is a ceramic tiled floor throughout the ground floor with electric underfloor heating. On the first floor the main bedroom is a good size with an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 is also a double with an ensuite shower room. There is a further single bedroom/study. At the front of the cottage is a private, south facing seating area which has a very pleasant outlook onto the communal gardens and the surrounding countryside. The cottage shares beautifully maintained gardens, which include a walled garden at the front and a further garden at the rear. To one side is a storage shed. Beyond the gardens is the gravel parking area, with one designated parking space and three further visitor parking spaces.
