Description
Location
Buckfastleigh is a small market town on the foothills of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park and situated beside the A38, providing a direct link to the cities of Plymouth and Exeter as well as the M5, which makes it a great location for commuters. The town itself has a Primary school judged by Ofsted in 2024 as Good` with Outstanding` features, a Health Centre, Pharmacy, Co-Operative store as well as a variety of cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants.
The town has a range of attractions including Buckfast Abbey, South Devon Steam Railway, Butterfly and Otter Sanctuary and Pennywell Farm. Buckfastleigh also offers plenty of leisure activities including kayaking on the River Dart, a premier indoor Climbing Wall and Swimming Pool as well as clubs in Bowls, Cricket, Tennis and Football.
The Norman town of Totnes is approximately 7 miles away providing a wide range of amenities and shops, including a mainline railway station getting to London Paddington in approximately 3 hours.
Description
This well-presented mid terrace cottage has to be seen to be fully appreciated. It is deceptively spacious, with two large double bedrooms, a generous amount of living space as well as a rear courtyard. The property has character features throughout including a wood burning stove along with exposed stonework and beams. It is located within a level walk of local amenities including the Co Op store, primary school, and medical centre.
As you enter the property you there is a useful entrance hallway, perfect for coats and shoes. The good-sized living room sits at the front of the property and provides plenty of space for a range of lounge furniture and has some lovely character features as well as a fireplace complete with wood burning stove.
Moving to the back of the property is the kitchen/diner, there is a mixture of base and wall mounted units along with room for cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also plenty of space for a four-seater dining table if required.
From here via a back door, you can access the rear outside area. The outside space provides room for a table and chairs as well as some pots is desired. It is currently laid to low maintenance synthetic grass with fencing surrounding.
Upstairs are two large double bedrooms and family bathroom. Both bedrooms can comfortably accommodate a king size bed, while allowing room for freestanding furniture. Both have also been neutrally decorated. The family bathroom has a white suite with shower over the bath, along with built in storage.
The property benefits from gas central heating and hot water, and there is permit parking available in the local car parks one of which is opposite the property. A viewing is highly recommended.
