Description

"Avon View has been everything I could want in a first home; it's a real sanctuary from the city, while still being a stone's throw from Church Road. There’s a very caring and generous local community, not unlike a little village. It's been incredible living by the river and the nature reserves, waking up to the sound of birdsong, and spotting deer, badgers and otters on walks and bike rides. The flat itself is spacious but cosy, modern but still characterful, and full of light from its huge south-facing windows – but it still keeps warm through the winters! The terrace is a beautiful spot for a morning coffee. Friends often say that it feels like being on holiday when they visit, and that really echoes my experience – it’s a very special place to live."

The flat

This three-bedroom flat on Crews Hole Road is a lovely find in St George. Spread across two floors of the Avon View development on Crews Hole Road, the flat has its own private front door entrance and a calm, rural feel whilst being in a convenient location. The main living space on the first floor is bright and generous, with a large open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. Big windows bring in plenty of light and look out over the trees & river. The kitchen has grey fitted units and a separate utility area. It's a relaxed, versatile space that works well for everyday living and entertaining alike. The ground floor bedroom is a good size with glazed doors opening directly outside, which gives it a nice sense of space. This room could also be used as living room, with ideal storage space/utility room and a jack and jill bathroom. Upstairs, the two further bedrooms both have the charm of sloped ceilings, and one opens directly onto the private terrace which gives the room an amazing view & lots of natural light. There's a shower room on this floor too accessed which can be accessed from both bedrooms.

Living in Crews Hole

Crews Hole Road sits in one of east Bristol's most quietly desirable pockets, with the wooded slopes of Troopers Hill nature reserve nearby and the river providing a genuinely rural feel just minutes from the city. The nearby footpath ‘The Strawberry Line’ is a great shortcut to reach Church Road’s independent shops & cafes as well as St George’s park. Hanham and St Anne’s are also close by & regular bus services make the city centre straightforward to reach. A real highlight of Crews Hole Road is its proximity to the River Avon Trail which runs from Pill in North Somerset to Pulteney Bridge, Bath – perfect for walking, running or cycling.
