GUIDE PRICE £950,000
Mill Haven is an impressive and highly versatile circa 1980’s detached bungalow that has been thoughtfully extended and comprehensively renovated to create a striking contemporary home finished to an exceptional specification throughout. Set behind electric gates and approached via a smart granite chipped driveway, the property immediately conveys a sense of quality and privacy, complemented by its clean architectural lines and beautifully landscaped surroundings.

Upon entering, the attention to detail is evident, with a welcoming entrance leading through to a superb open plan living, dining and kitchen breakfast space that forms the true heart of the home. This expansive area has been designed for modern living and entertaining, featuring sleek porcelain tiled flooring with underfloor heating, a bespoke handmade kitchen with quartz worktops and a central island, alongside high-end integrated appliances. Large bi-fold doors and windows flood the space with natural light while providing a seamless connection to the garden, enhancing the sense of space and indoor-outdoor living.

The bedroom accommodation is equally well considered, offering excellent flexibility for other uses for a range of lifestyles. The principal suite is a particularly impressive sizable space with fitted wardrobes, air conditioning and direct access outside, complemented by a luxurious en-suite shower room. A second bedroom also benefits from its own stylish en-suite, while two further bedrooms are well proportioned and served by a contemporary family shower bathroom finished to a high standard. A further room provides the ideal study or fifth bedroom, perfectly suited to those working from home or requiring additional guest accommodation.

Externally, the property continues to impress with a low maintenance wrap around garden that has been carefully designed to provide a variety of usable spaces. Porcelain tiled terraces, artificial lawn and raised planting beds combine with a striking sunken seating area to create an ideal setting for both relaxation and entertaining. An attached garage provides further practicality, incorporating a plant area and additional storage, while gated off-street parking ensures ample space for multiple vehicles. Mill Haven represents a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully finished and highly adaptable home in a well-connected yet semi-rural setting, perfectly suited to modern family living.

Location

Positioned within the popular village of West Kingsdown, the property enjoys convenient access to everyday amenities including local shops and a doctors surgery, as well as excellent transport links via the nearby M20 and M25, providing straightforward routes to London, Bluewater, Gatwick and Heathrow. A selection of mainline stations can be found in neighbouring villages including Longfield, Eynsford, and Borough Green, offering services into London, while a range of well-regarded primary and secondary schools are also within easy reach. The renowned London Golf Club is also on your doorstep.

Seller Insight

My father purchased Mill Haven in 2010, and from that moment it became so much more than just a house—it became the heart of our family.

.

As a charming bungalow, it was always a warm and welcoming space. Some of my fondest memories are of time spent here—Sunday lunches around the table, music playing in the background, and relaxed evenings with a glass of wine. It was a home made for bringing people together, whether at Christmas or during the summer months when we would host barbecues and enjoy the garden with all the family.

.

In 2021, we very sadly lost my father. After that, my partner and I took on Mill Haven, with a real sense of responsibility to preserve what he loved most about it. We have since fully renovated the property, opening up the layout to create a more sociable, light-filled space, while still keeping it as the bungalow he cherished.

.

Every change we’ve made has been with him in mind -ensuring the home remains a place where people can come together and socialise, just as it always has been.

.

Mill Haven holds a very special place in our hearts, and it has been central to so many important moments in our lives. Now, as we prepare to sell, I truly hope the next owners will love it as much as we have, and create their own happy memories here for years to come.
