FIUGGI AND THE CIOCIARIA

Fiuggi is an ancient settlement and through the ages was widely known for its healing waters (Acqua di Fiuggi) and long and storied history. Many famous people visited here and the medicinal properties of the water attracted attention from across Europe. It is therefore in effect a very ancient spa town and this is reflected in the streets and the rather grand buildings which are the envy of other towns in the area.
