Description

“We’ve loved the past 10 years living on Orchard Road. It’s a friendly road, and we’ve got to know many of our neighbours well. We’ve put a lot of thought and time into renovating and decorating the house, as well as extending and transforming the garden, making it a truly special place to live. We’ve also really valued being surrounded by so much green space, with St George Park, Troopers Hill, and Conham River Park all close by. Church Road now has a great selection of pubs, cafés and shops, all within a short walk through the park. The cycle path is easily accessible, and buses into town run frequently from the top of the Road.”

The home

A beautifully presented three-bedroom Victorian terrace that blends traditional character with stylish modern living, complemented by a wonderful west-facing garden. The ground floor features an open-plan double reception room with solid wood flooring and high ceilings. An archway connects to the recently renovated kitchen, which has been thoughtfully designed to balance practicality with style. Marine blue cabinetry is paired with quartz worksurfaces and geometric tiling. A skylight and large window bring in plenty of natural light, while a breakfast bar provides additional seating. A utility cupboard houses the washing machine and boiler separately.

The bathroom has also been fully renovated and includes underfloor heating. Hexagonal Ca’Pietra tiles wrap the walls, while a second skylight fills the room with natural light. The first floor comprises of two good-sized double bedrooms, along with a third bedroom currently used as a home office.

The outside space

The unusually large west-facing rear garden, particularly for the area, has been landscaped with planted borders, gravel paths, and several paved seating areas. The first patio area provides storage, a bike shed and water tap. The main sandstone patio includes wired outdoor lighting and power and is surrounded by beautiful borders making it an ideal space for outdoor dining or entertaining.

At the far end is a large shed and gated rear access leading to hardstanding and a wildlife area, which is also included within the boundary. The treeline beyond the plot provides additional privacy and contributes to the sense of seclusion.

Living in St George

Orchard Road is a quiet residential street in the heart of St George, ideally positioned for enjoying everything this vibrant area has to offer. St George's Park is just a short walk away and is one of Bristol's most loved green spaces, featuring tennis courts, a café, skate park, and lake. Other nearby green spaces include Troopers Hill and Conham River Park. Church Road is within easy reach, home to a wide selection of independent shops, cafés, pubs, and restaurants, including local favourites such as Red Church, Orchard Café, and The Bristol Loaf. The area is well connected, with straightforward access into Bristol City Centre by bus, bike, or car, as well as easy routes out towards Bath and the motorway network. Bristol Temple Meads is also within convenient reach, making this an excellent location for commuters and city dwellers alike.
