Description
DESCRIPTION
Set in a quiet residential area on the western fringes of the city of Wells is this two bedroom semi detached bungalow. The property benefits from recently installed boiler and radiators (2023) and attractive gardens but does require some level of updating. The property is offered to the market with NO ONWARD CHAIN.
Upon entering is the entrance hall with laminate floor and space for coats and shoes. The sitting room features a square bay window to the front with an open aspect over the front garden and painted floorboards. On either side of the chimney breast are built-in cupboards with open shelving above and there is plenty of space for comfortable furniture. The kitchen, which would benefit from updating and reconfiguration, features painted cabinets and open shelving and has space for a fridge freezer, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. To one side is a door (currently blocked by the dishwasher) opening to a path at the side. There is also a useful shelved alcove/pantry. To one side is a window with side aspect and stainless steel sink beneath.
Leading off the sitting room is a rear lobby with shelved airing cupboard and a further built-in cupboard with space for coats, shoes and day to day storage. The principal bedroom is a good size and features patio doors to the rear- leading out to the garden, exposed floorboards and a built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom, currently presented as a textile studio/craft room, is a smaller double with view over the rear garden and built-in storage cupboards and open shelves. The family bathroom, with wood effect flooring and obscure glass window to the side, comprises a 'P' shaped bath with shower overhead, WC and wash basin.
OUTSIDE
To the front of the property a metal gate opens to the front garden which is mainly laid to lawn with borders of mature trees, shrubs and flowering plants. A path leads to the front door and continues along the side of the house where there is a pedestrian gate to the rear garden. Adjacent to the path , at the side of the house is a storage area ideal for bins and recycling.
The rear garden, which can be accessed from both the pedestrian gate and the principal bedroom, is well-tended and divided into several spaces. Across the rear of the property is a low maintenance gravelled area ideal for pots and garden furniture. Beyond is an area of lawn with paved stepping stones and planted borders. Shallow steps lead up to a raised deck which houses a good sized timber shed. To the front of the shed is a further gravelled area, with space for pots. To the side of the shed is a vegetable patch and decked steps. The steps lead to the rear of the shed where there is a secluded seating area. This private area, with climbing plants, features a wooden store and offers space for outdoor furniture and entertaining.
