We’re selling our three-year-old, contemporary Tingdene lodge at Riverside Luxury Lodges, set in the heart of the beautiful South Downs National Park, beside the River Arun and just a short walk from the picturesque village of Amberley — one of the most desirable postcode locations in the UK.
The lodge is modern, light and thoughtfully designed, with a relaxed, contemporary feel throughout. One of its most special features is the private front garden, which is unique on the development — it’s the only lodge among the 11 stunning riverside lodges to enjoy its own garden space. The garden overlooks a beautiful horse paddock, offering open views and a wonderfully peaceful rural outlook that makes the lodge feel both private and special.
Inside, the open-plan living area is bright and welcoming, perfect for slow mornings, relaxed evenings or having friends and family to stay. The two bedrooms are calm and comfortable, making it an easy place to truly switch off.
The setting is incredibly tranquil, with beautiful countryside walks right on the doorstep, whether along the river, through the Downs or into the surrounding villages. Despite the peaceful location, you’re only a few minutes from Arundel, with its historic charm, independent shops and excellent restaurants and café bars, all close enough to enjoy regularly.
The park operates on a seven-month seasonal licence from 1st April to 1st November, which we’ve found ideal — allowing you to enjoy the very best of spring, summer and autumn in one of England’s most beautiful landscapes.
Amberley station is nearby, with direct trains to London Victoria in around an hour, making this the perfect countryside escape that’s easy to reach whenever you need a break.
This lodge has been a peaceful retreat for us and is now ready for someone new to enjoy its unique position, privacy and truly special surroundings
