Description
The location is just lovely! A sleepy yet well-connected cul de sac near Ladywell’s village-style centre and its Fare Zone 2 Station, with just a nine minute journey-time to London Bridge!
Your front door is set to the side of the house. On entry to your right is a built-in cupboard, ideal for coats etc. Take a left for your main reception (of over 14 feet by over 11 feet), which pleasingly looks out to garden vistas. Open out here to the garden, which has paved and lawned areas.
Take a right from the hall and you land in your kitchen/diner with a cool cork floor. This has been beautifully and recently refurbished, with fitted custom-made units and shelving, including a dedicated coffee/bar station. Built-in banquette corner seating (by one of your two southeasterly-facing windows) with substantial storage is a wonderful decision for cuppas and casual meals through to dinner parties with your besties.
Head upstairs and you will find your two double bedrooms to front and back, with your independent windowed w.c. and your modern windowed bathroom (metro-tiling here) set between. Your principal bedroom sits to the front of the house, and is over 14 feet by over 9 feet, with built-in wardrobes up to the ceiling.
Your second double bedroom (colour-drenched in a gorgeous green!) looks out to the garden, and has a cupboard to one corner, which works as a great closet or place to pop your suitcases, skis and such.
Green space? Lucky you! Hilly Fields and Ladywell Fields are your local parks (both have lovely cafes; Pistachios and Fields (perfect for coffee or ice cream). Take a quick bus journey or cycle to larger ones (like Greenwich Park, and Peckham Rye Park & Common).
The little town of Ladywell has been gaining attention for its cute, gentrifying high street. It has villagey-vibes, like Nunhead High Street and Bellenden Road do. We rate Wilson’s (neighbourhood restaurant with fab Sunday roasts), Oscars for coffee, Mamma Dough for pizzas, and The Ladywell Tavern for a tipple or two (don’t miss the cute garden out the back).
Lewisham is is a further 10 minute walk for high street shopping, leisure centre, library, markets etc. And The Fox & Firkin is a brilliant spot for live music and DJ sets.
Brockley and Crofton Park are also a short walk (15-20 minutes) for Brockley’s Rock (best fish and chips around!), Joyce (wine bar), and The Rivoli Ballroom, among ather delights.
