The Marches is a great place to live
The development is great. It’s a new build so everything feels new and unused. Very clean building always maintained. The building has a modern design, great communal facilities, easy to communicate to building management and property management with anything that we need. Very helpful staff and maintenance is quick to respond.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great place to shop and easy transport for trains to get to work, close to entertainment and activities ,close to London.
Most things that we need are close by.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has responded to most of our issues quickly and have managed to resolve most of them as best they could
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would’ve liked to know that the building doesn’t have their own private parking before as it says on the website they have parking available not realising it meant paid parking

Living the high life in Woking
The Marches has excellent apartments and facilities with great views of the Surrey countryside. The natural light really lets the apartments shine, and having a furnished flat is a great help to a lot of residents. The maintenance team do an excellent job of keeping the building running. They really have their work cut out, and they, and the cleaning staff do a brilliant job of maintaining the appearance and functionality of the building. Ryan has been an excellent presence and I really appreciate the hard work that he puts in, going above and beyond for the sake of the residents. Ryan, Pedro and Nkosi have helped me with a whole manner of swift repairs from washing machines, to sinks and doors. This kind of service makes living at The Marches feel special.
Community spirit is encouraged, and I have appreciated the hard work that management have taken to set up events and allow residents the space to explore hobbies and groups.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
This is a great central location in Woking with easy access to shops and restaurants. Train station and bus stops are located very close by. Parking is all part of the Victoria Place shopping centre, which is expensive, but does provide a covered area for your vehicle.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The maintenance team are always on hand. Management are happy to be communicated with directly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would highly recommend viewing different floor plans to see what is right for you, as the small differences can help decision making.

Great place to stay
The staff that we've come across here are all very friendly and always willing to help - they also love pets!
Throughout the mornings you have Anne, Jasmine, Beth and Rosa at the reception desk. Ed and John cleaning around the building. Ryan who is out and about maintaining the gardens, Nkosi going around fixing things and also the night shift, Bilal and Ali, looking after us.
Anne was the one who originally showed us around and we had a bunch of questions mainly regarding utilities, which she was patient about and managed to answer them all.
The building is split up into East and West that is connected via the second floor garden and each side has their own benefits. The East has the parcel room and direct access to the pet garden, whereas the west has direct access to the car park.
The development has events on throughout the week for residents such as yoga, book club, pet parties, etc. and also an end of month drinks and a start of month breakfast social to get to know your neighbours.
There is also a nice coworking space at the top of the building with a view.
Free wifi is also included in the home and throughout the building.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Location is brilliant, you are literally above a shopping centre which has a good variety of shops, there is also a wide variety of cuisines around and also a good range of bars. There is also an escape room, the arcades, theatre, cinema and even a culinary experience at the Gordon Ramsay Academy and only 5 minutes walk away from the train station that can quickly get into London Waterloo in 30 minutes.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
There is an app which you can log and see the status of your issues, we had a few issues but were resolved pretty much the same day, or if there was a missing piece, then you would get an update via the app or a phone call.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I guess if I had to nitpick, if you're on the lower levels, you can hear the trains go by, but it doesn't really bother us, we've been here for 6 months now and so far so good!

Thank you for your feedback regarding train noise on the lower floors. We appreciate you sharing this insight, and we’re glad it hasn’t impacted your enjoyment of your home.

Fantastic place to live
Building is fantastic and the view even better. Even has a smell in communal areas! I experienced my first issue in my flat and reported it to reception and Ryan in facilities came and fixed it straight away! He was great and knowledgeable and even went further than my immediate problem to offer advice on other aspects of living here.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
So many food and shopping options in Woking and the immediate shopping centre below us. There’s fast food, nicer sit down restaurants and a few pubs!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I have only experienced one issue (washing machine) and Ryan came with me from reception (at the time i initially reported it) and sorted for me within 10 mins!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Cardboard not going down the recycling shoot is odd but there’s adequate way around it (cardboard room)

Overall good, design is simple but elegant
Overall good, design is simple but elegant, floor to ceiling windows, parcel room is well designed and maintained, sound proofing is excellent. Common areas are well designed, part of the top floor common room could be converted into gym, currently it’s not fully utilized.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Acceptable and convenient. Daily living support is adequate, shopping malls are just right next to it. 5 minutes walking distance to train station, 24 minutes to London Waterloo Station.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes Handover checklist is very helpful and management has agreed to follow up
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Try to view different floors and apartments as many as possible before committing, higher floors will give you a different experience.
