Description
Property Reference number : 700596
Situated in the sought-after town of Bovey Tracey, is my beautiful two-bedroom terraced cottage which has been lovingly renovated and recently redecorated throughout. The cottage has a light and cosy living room with a beautiful flame effect fire, great for instant heat on cold winter evenings. This room overlooks the sunny south facing garden and summerhouse. All these spaces are perfect for relaxation and entertaining guests. The summer house has been insulated, lined and decorated and has a handy leanto behind it for storage of the junk you usually put in your summerhouse :)The living room leads through to the separate kitchen which offers plenty of storage, an integrated fridge, ceramic sink, oak work surfaces, reclaimed oak parquet floor and a fabulous 3 oven, 5 ring Stoves cooker. There is plenty of room for a table and chairs.
Stairs lead up from the kitchen to the two bedrooms, each providing a peaceful, quiet space. The main bedroom looks out over the garden to the moors beyond. The other bedroom is a good size single room. The bathroom features a large shower with integrated sitting area/shelving, sink and wc.
The cottage can be accessed via the pedestrian walkway which runs at the front of the cottages or by the walkway at the back where there is also a great sized outhouse with power and electricity - currently housing the washing machine, tumble dryer, cycles and lots, lots more!
The area...
Parking is close by on a quiet street and our walkway runs from the high street with its many cafes, independent shops, traditional pubs and convenient supermarkets. It is less than 5 mins walk to the river Bovey and the many beautiful and varied woodland walks through Parke.
Bovey Tracey is known as the 'Gateway to Dartmoor' and has a rich history, thriving community, and stunning natural beauty. We are a short drive (or an exhausting cycle!) from iconic Haytor and the wilderness of Dartmoor National Park provides endless opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding, and exploring the breathtaking landscape.
Excellent primary and secondary schooling options are connected to the area and great transport links, with regular bus services connecting to the market town of Newton Abbot, which offers mainline rail connections, and easy access to the A38 for journeys to the cities of Exeter (v.approx 25mins) and Plymouth v. approx 40 mins) making it a great base for commuters and others who enjoy roadworks and traffic jams!... or stay at home, in lovely Bovey Tracey :)
What I love about living here is being in such a light, peaceful, but super convenient location with no traffic, the layout of the cottage is great, and I have some lovely, friendly, helpful and funny neighbours.
