Description

Description

You will find this detached bungalow situated on the edge of the village and furnished to the highest standard. The main dwelling is flooded with natural light, both from a ceiling lantern and French doors which lead out onto a back garden that boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a table that seats six. There is a sofa bed in the sitting area along with a luxurious three-seater sofa. The principal bedroom is generous, accommodating a king sized bed and patio doors that look out over miles of virtually uninterrupted countryside; a joy to wake up to. This room also benefits from an en-suite bathroom. [note: there is a bath in here]

The second bedroom has a double bed and further storage space. The third bedroom contains a queen sized bed and could be used as a study. Additionally, there is a substantive utility room located at the front of the property, and a separate family bathroom with shower over the bath.

The large garden is positioned next to a scenic five acre field offering uninterrupted views across three counties: Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. The large patio enables outdoor dining and hard surface games. The lawn is expansive and envelopes an apple, fig and damson trees.

Positioned in the garden are two outbuildings equipped with electricity, 'Rointe' electric heaters and Wi-Fi. These additional spaces are currently furnished as a home office and further lounge / dining space. However, they are highly versatile and can be used as a home office, studio space, treatment room, or for families with teenagers or young children.

A plot at the end of the garden for growing and cultivating a kitchen garden is optional, including use of two greenhouses.

Location

The village of Garsington lies approximately 5 miles to the southeast of Oxford, with a parish church dating back to 1160, many fine period houses, and more modern developments during the 1950s and '60s.

The local primary school is very well regarded, and the village hall provides a central point for community activities. The local pub serves excellent food, and there are playing fields for 'kids old and young' to 'run it all off.

For day to day shopping, Tesco and Aldi can be found just a mile or so away on the edge of Cowley and Wheatley is just a few minutes drive away with a supermarket on the edge of the village and a butchers and bakery in the centre.

The property is well positioned for local schools in Abingdon and Oxford. There are mainline rail services from Didcot Parkway to London Paddington in approximately forty five minutes and from Haddenham and Thame Parkway to London Marylebone in approximately forty minutes.

Cycling

With the recent upsurge in cycling it is worth noting that Garsington is a great place to commute to Cowley and Oxford. In addition, the village is a great place from which to discover the countryside around us by bike.
