Mid at best.
It’s honestly just a street. No sense of community, no events or additional services provided. Maintenance takes time once it’s reported, and there’s nothing spectacular that you’re getting for your money. Apartments are spacious for the pricing, but it’s nothing to shout about.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It’s a good place to live in a really deprived community. Whilst this is reflected in the price, it doesn’t negate the experience that you have compared to living in any other rental property in the area. The culdesac leads directly out onto Elland Road which can be a nightmare on match days. Anti social behaviour is rife in the area. Council permit is required to park on the street due to vicinity of stadium.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Responses took time and it wasn’t as effective as I would anticipate
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The main road at the end of the culdesac is closed off for extensive periods of time when games are taking place. I appreciate the needs due to security, but this was never mentioned when viewing.

Hi JD,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has not met expectations.
Providing a well-managed and enjoyable living experience is very important to us, so your comments have been noted and shared with the team for review. We also understand your frustrations regarding match day road closures, parking restrictions, and anti-social behaviour in the surrounding area. While some of these factors are outside of our direct control, we appreciate that you felt clearer communication during the viewing process would have helped you make a more informed decision, and we will take this feedback on board.
Thank you

What and how can I change my life substantially after moving to Leeds all the way from Scotland!
Living in Cross Heath Grove, Leeds, I appreciate the thoughtful design and community-oriented layout of our neighborhood. The houses are well-planned, blending modern aesthetics with practical functionality, creating a welcoming environment for families and individuals alike. The facilities nearby are quite convenient—local parks and green spaces offer excellent spots for relaxation, exercise, and community gatherings, fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Building management in our area generally maintains high standards; the maintenance team is responsive and attentive to residents’ needs, ensuring communal areas are clean and well-kept. Property management is proactive in addressing issues promptly, which enhances our quality of life and preserves property values. Regular inspections and clear communication from management help build trust and transparency within the community.
However, there is always room for improvement. Enhancing security measures, such as additional lighting and surveillance, could further increase residents’ safety. Improving waste management and recycling facilities would also be beneficial to promote sustainable living. Overall, Cross Heath Grove offers a comfortable, well-managed, and friendly environment, making it a desirable place to call home. I look forward to witnessing continuous improvements that will make our community even more vibrant and secure.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The good think is, my living location is really close to the city center. Even if you don't own a car, you can just wait for buses along the main road with a bit walking from my home.
Unfortunately, the bad thing is, when a football match happens, we have to be very careful and cautious about the road closure arrangement, although I am a big fan of Leeds Union!!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Well, although I like the neighbors and the management company, PlaceFirst, as their staff members are mostly nice and polite. However, if it comes to the efficiency on solving any of our urgent issues, I sincerely suggest there are still rooms for their improvement. For example, more responsive and supportive? We desperately need that.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would suggest the size of the toilet can be reduced by 1/3 while the size of the sleeping room can be increased by 1/3.

The development is clean and tidy the grass areas are well maintained. Window cleaner would be nice like we had in the past. Mohammed is great and communication is good. Pets are allowed which is a great addition and I have made some very good friends that live on the development
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I have been here 10 years now. Great communication from Placefirst. Maintenance could be a bit more proactive but on the whole a great place to live
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have took my request on board and most of the time the issues are resolved in a timely manner
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
