Situation: Green Wood and Cym Y Garth are located just to the north-west of the village of Llandinam, extending in total to approximately 37.86 acres (15.32 ha). The topography is at Green Wood ranges from 160 to 210m above seal level, and Cym Y Garth ranging 160-260m above sea level.

Green Wood is the smaller of the two woods, extending in total to approximately 7.54 acres (3.05 ha) and comprises mostly Douglas fir which was planted in 1991. There is a small stand of larch at the centre and mixed broadleaves along the boundaries and at the western end. Access is taken across the field to the east.

Cym Y Garth, located to the south of Green Wood and extends in total to approximately 30.32 acres (12.27 ha) comprising mostly of conifers including Douglas fir, western hemlock, Norway spruce, Corsican pine and Japanese larch (much of the soft wood dates back to 1959). Broadleaves also feature including ash. A stream runs through the wood. Access is via a shared track with roadside stacking space available.

Directions: Take the A489 towards Caersws, and then turn left at Caersws towards Trefeglwys. Follow the road for approximately 0.3 of a mile, and then take a left turn after the bridge. Follow this road for another 1.5 miles and the access to Green Wood and Cwm Y Garth will be on the left hand side with double metal gates.
