- LAKESIDE LIVING IN LONDON?
Description
Starting off with the secure underground parking that is situated close to the exit the conveniences continue at Hawfinch House. With the concierge reception area at the front and post room to the side aspect. You feel in the instant lap of luxury when stepping in to the building. There are 2 lifts to take you up to the 20th floor where you will find the Entrance to the Apartment a few steps over to the right hand side. Fancy some even more special views? Stay in the lift to the top deck whereby you will have views toward Wembley stadium and 360 degrees around London.
Upon entering the apartment you will note the continued quality of finish along with how well the current owners have maintained the space. Theres a practical Utility room and Storage cupboard super for hiding everything away (we all need to to this right!)...on the opposite side of the Entrance hall is a luxury Bathroom suite with overhead shower.
The main bedroom benefits from Ensuite Shower room and window with lakeside views.
A good sized second bedroom which could easily be a double is currently being used as a Home Office and again benefits from the gorgeous views again.
There is a super sized open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining area with the kitchen area being fully fitted with all modern appliances and tiling to splash-back area. This space intertwines beautifully with the inset balcony that encapsulates glorious views toward the Brent Reservoir.
There are bug nets in each of the external rooms.
Vendors views:
"We don’t come from big city life and in fact enjoy nature and especially water more than anything. However, London has always been an important place for our career progression. As a young couple our dream was to find a place in London that offers a calmer and more suburban vibe connected to nature.
We thought living anywhere near Hampstead Heath was out of question, so we started looking around the river East and West. We found it was either not affordable or so far out that we might as well move to the countryside. One day Facebook served me an ad about a new build 2 bed flat next to a beautiful lake, I was like what the heck? Where is this place?
We came to visit to realise that we found an absolute hidden gem in London. The lake is beautiful and the park around it is perfect for daily walks. We are also a 10 minute drive to Hampstead Heath, which we visit on a weekly basis. The location is in zone 3 on the northside of London, which means commuting is super easy too. Thames link runs every 15 mins and you can get to the city in 20 minutes. The trains are brand new, they have seats with tables and even toilets! Absolutely unheard of on a daily London commute.
We also have the Northern Line 10 min walk away which is a nice morning exercise, but also buses run there very frequently. The West End is a 20 min cab ride, perfect for those weekend date nights in amazing restaurants and bars. Even Shoreditch is very accessible with either the train going there in 20 mins or a 30min cab ride.
In terms of shopping, there is a huge Sainsburys just down the road, a local Co-Op for quick top ups, and Brent Cross is a 15min walk where you have everything including Waitrose and M&S with loads of other brands.
Towards Colindale there is an amazing asian food hall called Bang Bang, 15+ vendors making the most authentic asian food we have ever tasted. With highly competitive prices and huge portions, it’s great for an impromptu evening fun or for a quick lunch break too.
The whole area is being regenerated, not only in very close proximity, but also a project called Brent Cross Town has been approved, which will attract even more people to this area, as well as an extension of the current train-line with a new Brent Cross station direct from here (we still prefer to walk to have the exercise).
For a casual local evening & night out, Wembley Retail Park & London Designer Outlet is a 10min drive/cab away, and has loads of shops and restaurants. There is also Boxpark Wembley which is perfect for those lazy Friday evenings when you can’t be bothered to cook and just want to relax, have some fun and a few drinks.
In terms of the flat, it is truly luxurious, and that is not a sentence I took from their ads. The sound isolation is better than anything we ever experienced. Waking up to the sun coming up across quiet London every morning is the most relaxing feeling you can imagine. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, something you can never get bored of. The quality of the flat has an exclusive feel, which helps with holiday blues when returning home from travelling.
We have discovered a truly amazing yet affordable place to live in North London which has much to offer and caters to a variety of lifestyles."
