On the first floor are two nice double bedrooms, both with inbuilt wardrobes. The family bathroom features a re-fitted white suite which includes a bath and separate shower. Stairs lead to the second floor which has an occasional room that could be used as a bedroom or hobbies room.

Externally there is gated driveway parking that leads to a larger than average wooden garage with an electric roller door and personal door to the garden. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with gravelled seating areas.

The village of Charney Bassett has a population of around 230 and lies in open country beside the meandering river Ock. It is situated in the north of the Vale of White Horse. The village has been reclassified as "Open Countryside" which should restrict future uncontrolled development. There are shops in the nearby villages of Stanford in the Vale, Grove and Southmoor, with the market towns of Wantage, Faringdon and Abingdon beyond.

The A420 gives access to Oxford and Swindon, with the A34, M4 and M40 beyond. Mainline rail services are from Oxford and Didcot Parkway.

St. Peter's Church dates from the 12th Century. Charney Manor was built as a grange for Abingdon Abbey when it owned extensive land around the village. It is now a Quaker house and conference centre. The Mill is open for visitors on a number of occasions throughout the year. There is a monthly newsletter giving information about the many village activities. The extended and refurbished village hall has activities each weekday and occasionally at weekends.
