The area:
Pylos, just 10 km away (around 12 minutes' drive), is the main town of the area and features one of the largest natural harbors in Europe, along with a small marina. Built amphitheatrically on the hillside, Pylos is one of the most picturesque towns in Greece. It is home to a Venetian castle and a lovely central square shaded by ancient plane trees, where you can find a variety of shops and charming cafés.
