Excellent accommodation
The development offers excellent amenities and has been thoughtfully designed. Residents can enjoy private screening rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and party hall for celebrations and special occasions, as well as recreational spaces and a high quality, well equipped gym. The facilities are modern, well maintained, and add great value to the overall living experience.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The property is in an excellent location, with the town centre, Reading Train Station, and The Oracle all within easy walking distance. Both covered and open allocated parking spaces are available. The bin collection facilities are well maintained, making the property convenient and easy to live in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They responded to the issues promptly, and the maintenance team did an outstanding job resolving everything professionally and efficiently. Special kudos to Pirito for the excellent work in repairing the ceiling cracks, including filling and painting them to a high standard. Pirito was highly professional, responded quickly to the issues, and ensured the work was completed with great care. Thank you for the excellent service!

Comfortable accommodation and Friendly Service
The development is generally well maintained and has a good overall design. One of the standout features is the excellent insulation during winter, which keeps the property warm and comfortable while helping to reduce heating costs. The building management is also responsive, and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, which creates a welcoming atmosphere for residents.
However, a notable downside is that the property can become hot during the summer months.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area is quite convenient, with a good range of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. There are also some nice open spaces for walking and relaxing. Transport links are generally good, with easy access to buses and other connections, making commuting relatively straightforward.
On a more positive note, the development offers useful amenities such as yoga classes, which are a great addition and help create a sense of community among residents.
The street itself is fairly quiet. I have occasionally experienced some anti-social behaviour. As an Asian resident, I once had an unpleasant experience where a stranger shouted at me near the entrance of the accommodation. However, despite this, the building feels secure overall due to CCTV and controlled access. The staff also texted me later to check if I am okay.
Bin collections are regular and well managed.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management is responsive when issues are reported, and they do arrange for contractors to attend. However, some problems have not been fully resolved. For example, my window has been difficult to close properly, and although contractors have visited twice during the past one and a half years, the issue has still not been fixed.
On the positive side, the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful, and they usually respond politely to queries.

Milliners Yard is an excellent and modern development that has been a pleasure to live in
Milliners Yard is an excellent and modern development that has been a pleasure to live in. It is well and truly home for me and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon! There is a perfect mix of community and privacy that I really value, and I can see that they are constantly striving to do more.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Local area is still up and coming, and there is a moderate amount of anti social behaviour and rubbish around. However, it is in extremely central and easy to get anywhere with Lime st so close.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Most issues are dealt with promptly. We only had one slightly negative experience due to long wait times on maintenance, but once this was resolved it was dealt with quickly and professionally.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The area can be a bit rough sometimes, but the building is incredibly safe and I have never felt at risk inside. Make use of all of the facilities in the building, it’s worth it!

Best community
Lovely design, caring management , the only thing is missing in the building is an air conditioner in the apartments, other than this everything is well organized , the view from the roof terrace is wonderful, the Gym is well equipped and the team is professional
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Everything is available around the building , even the city center is less than 10 minutes walk , accessibility around the building because of several bus stops
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
When I report a problem , they usually address my concerns and make sure that everything is fixed
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I absolutely love living in Milner's Yard :)
The building is very chic and modern. Love that there is a slope to allow wheelchairs/dragging of bags making the entrance accessible. The terrace has great place to sit down and enjoy with friends and family (the slight improvement i would suggest is to have more gardening clubs so either the residents can plant or make the terrace slightly more appealing, but no worries if not). The gym is fully accessible too and is well stocked! I love the co-working space, I can sit and do some work on the desks or I can relax and read a book on the couch, i especially love the free coffee!! The concierge are very friendly and happy to help and chat with you, especially Elsa and Zoe who are always great to chat with
The apartments are spacious too, I especially love how if there is some repair/fixing that's required, its done almost immediately.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is perfect, my university is down the road (University of Liverpool), the train and main city centre is just a walk away and lots of shops nearby for all needs (I.e., Taza for halal meat and superstore, Lidl and Tesco). Especially with the new Spar which opened up right next door. Due to the location, there is rarely any noise from the outside too. Overall, a great local area!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had a leaking washing machine which was promptly looked at
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Great place to live, just be aware that living near the gym can cause some noise disturbance but message the concierge and they will sort out the issue
