Situated just moments from the coastline and set behind a secure, gated entrance, this exceptional home delivers a lifestyle rarely found outside some of the most exclusive luxury destinations.
Having undergone an extensive three year programme of renovation, rebuilding and extension, the current owners have created a truly extraordinary residence that combines glamour, comfort and functionality in equal measure. The result is a home designed not simply to be admired, but to be enjoyed.
A Grand Arrival
From the moment you approach the property, the sense of occasion is undeniable.
Secure electric gates open onto an impressive private driveway, while a breath taking marble staircase rises to a magnificent stone portico framed by elegant balustrades creating a striking first impression. This immediately showcases the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that continues throughout.
Every detail has been carefully considered, from the Italian tiled flooring and underfloor heating to the air conditioning and integrated ceiling speaker system. A sophisticated Control4 smart home system places lighting, entertainment, audio and security controls effortlessly at your fingertips, creating a home that is as intelligent as it is beautiful.
Designed Around Modern Luxury Living
At the heart of the residence lies an exceptional open plan kitchen, dining and family space that perfectly embodies contemporary, luxury living.
Designed as the social hub of the home, this stunning environment brings people together naturally. A substantial central island provides the perfect gathering point, while a beautifully appointed living area creates a seamless flow between everyday family life and sophisticated entertaining.
Flooded with natural light and finished to an impeccable standard, it is easy to understand why this has become the favourite space for family and guests alike.
Opposite, is an elegant formal lounge. Generously proportioned and beautifully presented, it offers a more relaxed setting whilst still maintaining the high end aesthetic that defines the entire property. With ample space for formal dining and even a baby grand piano, it is a room designed for both entertaining and quiet enjoyment.
Your Own Private Wellness Retreat
Few homes can offer leisure facilities of this calibre.
The indoor swimming pool creates an atmosphere more commonly associated with a luxury spa or boutique resort. Featuring a stunning starlight ceiling, waterfall feature, poolside television and bifold doors opening directly onto the gardens, it is a space designed to both impress and relax.
The adjoining jacuzzi provides the perfect place to unwind, whether watching live sport, entertaining guests or simply enjoying a peaceful evening at home.
Further enhancing the wellness experience are the property’s gym, sauna and steam room, allowing you to enjoy a complete health and wellbeing lifestyle without ever leaving home.

Vendor Insight
When did you first find this home, what first drew you to it, and what was it that instantly captured your heart?
We found this home in June 2019 and the location stole our hearts, being so close to the beach and to the vibrant Birkdale Village. We knew it was “the one” when we pulled up outside at dusk when we were waiting for the offer to be accepted and Ocean Drive by Lighthouse family was on the radio and we could see the stunning red sky sunset at the end of the road and we just knew this was it.
Following those first impressions, how has your connection deepened over time? We did a massive renovation and extension and lived in the house during the three year project. At one point we had no roof on and a tent like temporary roof! As like many building projects can be it was a real rollercoaster ride building our dream home, but we achieved what we set out to do and more and we were and are still so proud of what we created together. We aren’t originally from this area, but we have loved building our life round here and enjoyed the restaurants and bars in the village and made lots of friends around here, it’s a friendly community. We got married whilst living here and also created our family with our two beautiful girls. It’s been a house full of love, laughter and success. When we arrived home at the end of the day or after a trip it’s a warm and secure feeling and also a proud feeling that we own this house and we have found there literally is no place like home as we haven’t found anywhere that we enjoy staying more in the way of a hotel than the master suite in our own home!
Tell us a little about the home’s history. Have you made any changes or additions that you feel have enhanced its character or functionality?
We made LOTS of changes and additions. We change the whole front of the house we centralised the steps and used marble for the new step which are quite a show stopper with so much kerb appeal! The pool was built by us and its ultra high spec gives the house a unique feature. We moved the bathroom from what is now the utility room to one of the original bedrooms so we could add the magnificent double bath which is an amazing feature. We also find having the utility room on the bedroom floor makes so much more sense than taking clothes downstairs to wash them back upstairs to put away! The lower banister in the entrance hall is probably the only thing we kept from the original house we bought, it’s so beautiful we couldn’t rip it out! It gives character to the house I think it’s originally from another house and more of a Victorian feature many or early 1900s. The banister actually set off the decor choices of black doors and panelling in the lounge and we think the lounge is contemporary with an old fashioned twist along with the deep skirting boards and coving.
Which spaces do you find yourself gravitating to most, and why?
How does your home make day to day living feel special?
What time of year does the property feel most magical, and why?
The kitchen is our living space used so much as it has the lounger area and island d with seating it’s a really functional room. My husband gravitates to the pool side to relax or to his cinema/bar and I love my little piece of heaven on the top floor my white and gold suite. The gym is used daily also and with it not being accessible from the rest of the house I find it a zone to switch off from the babies’ mad hour work and have my time to myself and exercise. The pool stretched ceiling is an exceptional feature and when the starlight ceiling is on and the lighting it’s really special and calming. The property is amazing all year round, it’s perfect for hot weather as it boasts air conditioning throughout and it’s also the prettiest space for Christmas time with the tree by the fire place. The cinema room is great for cosy rainy days watching a movie and the indoor pool offers an indoor/outdoor feel with the bi-folding doors so can be enjoyed in winter and also in summer as an extension to the garden space.
For families, what do you feel makes this such a wonderful place to raise children?
For families the cinema room and pool make it a dream home for children. It’s also so close to Victoria Park with lots of outdoor space to run round and even fly a kite Living by the beach is great for the children also. Lots of great schools locally too and clubs for kids.
How would you describe the local community and the lifestyle on offer?
Friendly local community lots to offer in the way of lifestyle through gyms, bars and restaurants, walking, bike rides. Days out for kids.
Can you share a remarkable or meaningful moment that truly sums up your time in this home?
When we got married and I walked down the steps in my dress, it was like a fairytale. So many memories, the wedding, gender reveals, babies, BBQs, pool parties, fight night, watching our team win the Premier League.
What do you think the next owners will fall in love with most and who might they be?
The next owners will fall in love with the whole house, it’s all absolutely stunning and just an amazing space to live in! I think a family with children or teenagers would love it here or a couple new to retirement that want a great space to entertain family and grandkids.
As you prepare to move on, what will you miss most and what will you take with you in your memories?
The pool and living room, bar and top floor suite will be missed, so many memories in this home too many to mention.
