On the southwest coast of Ibiza, Villa Horizonte comes into its own in the golden hour glow. Set within the exclusive Caló d'en Real development, it balances privacy and calm with lock-up-and-leave convenience and a year-round community feel. Here, sea views, seclusion and ease combine to reset the senses.

That ease was embedded into the surroundings from the very beginning. Designed by the late architect André Jacqmain, the villa and wider development were conceived to encourage a slower pace of life. The sea dominates during the day; the sunsets take over at dusk. Living spaces lead seamlessly outdoors, while the architecture remains composed and quietly purposeful.

The villa is also a springboard to the water, with a path leading just a few metres from the house directly to the sea - an increasing rarity on this part of the island.

Arranged across one lateral level, the interiors are designed around the horizon. Wide, open sightlines draw the sea into view, while the architecture recedes to let the landscape take focus. In the open-plan reception room, the design language is concise: white walls, minimal embellishment and fully retractable glazing that frames the setting with little interruption. A large, covered terrace extends the living space outdoors, offering welcome shade from the midday sun.

The contemporary kitchen is similarly understated. A breakfast bar forms the anchor, while light wood cabinetry keeps the mood pared back. From the adjoining dining area, the eye travels out to the terrace, the pool, the palms and the sea beyond.
Outside, the terraces become an extension of the living space. A sun deck wraps around the pool, making the most of the villa's elevated position. The best views, though, are found up on the roof terrace, where seating wraps around the edges - a natural gathering point to watch the sun fade.

The bedrooms are another study in quiet impact: tiled floors, white walls and direct access to the outdoors. In the spa-like en suite bathrooms, wooden details, walk-in showers and generous proportions create spaces designed for retreat.
