Living in Hove Central
Everything’s is excellent , we like furniture, facilities and design of the building. We also enjoy staff especially Ellie, Shanon and Ella as they have answers to all our questions and always ready to help. We will be here till December but already miss this place.

We like everything very much. However, we would like to have more coffee shops or cafes nearby. The rest is absolutely amazing we are enjoying our life here.

Staff are always ready to help, especially Ellie, Shannon and Ella.

Needs a lot of improvement
Nice flat good location
Fire alarm system ringing 4 weeks straight on the screen says disable does that mean if there’s a real fire people will just ignore it as it’s a common occurrence
Tv don’t work after the people saying over a week ago they will sort it and just getting nothing back terrible service
Keep getting told to use an app I can’t download

Fire alarm in block 5 has been going off nonstop since arriving! And still no tv working after weeks of asking for it to be sorted
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Nope said they would sort the tv out because it’s not working over a week ago had nothing back the fire alarm I have told them 3 times now and it’s still just going off no one seems to care the intercom doesn’t work can’t let anyone in and the moda app that Ithey keep saying to use won’t download on the phones really poor overall
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That it would be 3 weeks with out a tv and 4 weeks of a fire alarm going off

Shannon and mike are wonderful front desk support. Very friendly and helpful. They always brighten my day.
Lovely building and facilities . Gym studio cinema room didining room roof terraces(multiple)
Very modern and new . Really great lounges and makes you enjoy being at home instead of feeling like going out all the time. Such a joy to live here. No need to use the heating as it stays warm

Great location . Cornerhouse coffee is the best local . Supermarkets like Aldi and Waitrose nearby and restaurants and hove oark

A good place to be
The design and build is good. Solid brick walls between flats means they’re quiet. The white goods are high quality and the internet is fast. Common areas are clean and everything is well maintained. However, the flats can overheat and the the wind causes howling!
Front desk staff seem depleted and overworked due to redundancies and absences. This can result in feeling like a ghost ship at Reception. Those who are there remain helpful but overstretched.
Plenty of opportunities to socialise and it feels like a good community is building. Most Residents seem happy and friendly.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Moda is very well served by nearby quality supermarkets (Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl) with 10-15 mins walk. Its nice NOT to have a ‘Express’ from the major supermarket chains.
Frequent buses into the city centre and rail station helps with commuting or socialising.
It would be great to have a café and bakery on site serving decent coffee and light meals for those of use working from home. Hopefully one day! Retail opportunities exist and hopefully will be taken up.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
It can be slow to get a response to issue due to staff shortages.
The APP needs a lot of work the UI is terrible, some folk can’t get on and the content is often dated unless it pertains to sponsorship/retail ads.

Be prepared to get involved, be neighbourly and help create a community!

Great place to live! Highly recommend
It’s a perfect place to live.i have loads of positive points:
•The flat is warm and very quiet. We slept very well.
•The facilities in the flat are modern and easy to use.
•The building feels solid and well built. The style is modern and comfortable and it always smells lovely!
•It’s so family and pet friendly.
•Great facilities- safe places to store your bikes, beautiful cinema and games room and communal lounges.
•The co work is quiet and peaceful.
•Moda always celebrate every occasion (valentines day, international woman’s day, Easter, Ramadan, pancake day, Chinese new year etc) and there are always fun activities and treats for everyone on these special occasions. This made it wonderful for my kids.
•The balcony is south facing and so sunny and welcoming.
•The residents are all friendly- there is a huge community spirit (watching football games together, games nights etc). Very inclusive- all ages and nationalities.

Great location- close to the station, bus stops and shops etc.
it’s a busy road but you can’t hear anything once you’re inside Moda.
It’s safe and family friendly area.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes responded well.
The dishwasher is not working properly- I have reported it numerous times but the engineer does not seem to know how to fix.

Get a flat with a balcony! Overlooking the terrace.
We were so lucky- our flat is perfect.
