Seller’s Insight
"We have lived at Ellis House for the past 14 years and, from the very beginning, we loved its location. Although it is in the heart of Leadenham, the house is tucked away from the High Street in a quiet position, giving it a real sense of privacy while still being within easy walking distance of the village amenities.
We understand the oldest part of the house dates back to the 1850s and the house has retained its character and many original features. The accommodation has proved to be very versatile over the years. The layout and space has adapted easily to our needs, whether for everyday family life, working from home or having friends and family to stay.
We have spent a great deal of time enjoying the gardens. It offers plenty of space for gardening, entertaining and growing fruit and vegetables, while the mature oak, maple and cherry trees provide colour and interest throughout the year. The elevated timber deck is one of our favourite places to sit, particularly in the evening when it enjoys the last of the sun.
Leadenham has been a wonderful village to live in. There is a strong sense of community and it has everything you need for day-to-day life. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we are lucky to enjoy walks in every direction. The road links are excellent and make it easy to reach Lincoln, Grantham, Newark and Sleaford.”
