Description

The Sellers View
We've loved living here. From the moment we moved in, it has felt like a bright, spacious and welcoming family home, offering the perfect balance of open living and cosy spaces. With five generous bedrooms and three bathrooms, there's always been plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their own space while still coming together as a family.

The layout has been ideal for everyday life and entertaining. On sunny days, opening the doors creates a seamless connection between the house and garden, making it perfect for family barbecues, long lunches or simply enjoying a morning coffee outdoors. The cosy living room is our favourite place to unwind in the evenings, while the extension has naturally become the heart of the home. Whether it's family movie nights or hosting friends, it's a space that works brilliantly. The recently fitted kitchen has also transformed how we cook and entertain, with plenty of room to prepare meals while chatting with family and guests. Having two dedicated home office spaces has been invaluable too, with one also serving as a music room when needed.

The location has been just as important to us as the house itself. We can easily walk into Thatcham town centre, the train station, highly regarded local schools, the canal and The Nature Discovery Centre, making day to day life incredibly convenient. Despite being so well connected, the setting feels wonderfully peaceful. The house looks out across open fields rather than a road, giving a lovely sense of space and privacy without the distraction of passing traffic.

The garden is easy to maintain, making it a relaxing place to enjoy throughout the year without demanding too much upkeep. Off street parking for two cars and an electric vehicle charging point have also been practical additions that have made everyday life even easier.

This has been a wonderful home for our family, combining generous living space, modern features and a fantastic location. It will be a place we'll always look back on fondly, and one we'll be genuinely sad to leave.

The Agents View
This is one of those homes that genuinely surprises you from the moment you step inside. From the front, you'd never guess that it offers just under 2,000 sq ft of beautifully presented accommodation, making it one of the largest and most versatile family homes you'll find in Thatcham.

The current owners have thoughtfully extended and modernised the property, creating a home that works effortlessly for modern family life. The real showstopper is the stunning kitchen, dining and family room across the rear of the house. Flooded with natural light and featuring two sets of bi fold doors, it's a space that seamlessly connects the indoors with the garden, making it perfect for entertaining, family gatherings or simply enjoying everyday life.

Practicality hasn't been overlooked either. Alongside the impressive open plan living space is a generous utility room with space for your appliances, as well as excellent built in storage for coats and shoes. There's also a separate living room for quieter evenings, a versatile study that could equally be used as a playroom or snug, and a downstairs cloakroom.

The accommodation continues to impress upstairs. The first floor is home to three excellent double bedrooms, including a superb principal suite complete with its own dressing area and en suite shower room, alongside the stylish family bathroom. The second floor provides two further bedrooms, one a particularly generous double and the other a comfortable smaller double, both served by a modern shower room. Whether you have a growing family, regularly work from home or simply want flexible living space, this layout caters for it all.

Outside, the rear garden feels like a private sanctuary. Mature planting, established borders and a choice of seating areas create a peaceful setting that's perfect for relaxing or entertaining throughout the warmer months. To the front, the property enjoys an enviable position overlooking the local park, giving a wonderfully open outlook and an immediate sense of space that's rarely found on modern developments.

A detached garage, driveway parking in front and an additional parking space beside the property complete the package.

For me, what really sets this home apart is the balance it offers. It's a substantial five bedroom family home with exceptional living space, a stunning extension, fantastic versatility and a peaceful setting overlooking the park. It's the kind of home that will suit families for many years to come.
