Description
Description
Drum House enjoys an exceptional position on the edge of Yoxford, set within about an acre of established gardens and surrounded by the undulating Suffolk countryside.
Approached through wooden gates, a gravel drive leads to the front of the house. The front door opens into the entrance hall, where you are immediately met with a striking view of the countryside through the French doors into the dining room and further glazed French doors beyond. This space is the most recent addition to the property and is a beautiful oak framed extension providing a stunning light space and far reaching views out. Flowing from here is the kitchen/breakfast room, fitted with ample wall and base cabinetry and a Leisure range cooker. Beyond the kitchen is a well proportioned utility room, pantry and additional storage spaces. Two further reception rooms complete the ground floor: the sitting room and the drawing room, both enjoying a double aspect and wood burning stoves. The drawing room is particularly elegant, with French doors opening onto the south facing terrace.
Stairs lead to the first floor landing, where five exceptional bedrooms and two beautifully appointed bathrooms are arranged. One of the bedrooms benefits from its own en suite, while the principal bedroom is beautifully proportioned. All the rooms enjoy the most remarkable views over the surrounding countryside.
Drum House is surrounded by beautifully established gardens that create a truly idyllic setting. To the south, a generous terrace provides the perfect spot for alfresco dining. A charming pond, edged with decking on one side, offers a wonderfully tranquil outlook. The grounds are enriched with mature shrubs and trees and also feature a stunning mixed rose garden, interwoven with lavender and set within six raised beds.
To the front of the property there is a large parking area creating ample parking. There is also a double garage with an internal door leading directly into the house, along with an attached store room, which is a versatile space with all services connected.
