Description

I’m old school. I remember the days when customer service was actually about… well, serving customers.

You know, back when you rang your Estate Agent and were greeted by a friendly voice rather than an automated message asking you to “press one for sales, two for frustration, and three if you’d like to speak to someone who actually remembers your name.”

Back then, when you popped into an office, you were welcomed properly. You were offered a cup of tea, you had a conversation, and you certainly weren’t made to feel like an inconvenience who had accidentally interrupted someone’s busy day.

When you viewed a home, you were allowed to look around, take your time, open cupboards, imagine where your sofa would go and decide whether this was the place where you could see yourself living. There wasn’t a stopwatch running from the second you stepped through the door, with someone mentally preparing to usher you back outside before you’d even checked the size of the bedrooms!

And feedback? Of course you received feedback. It was part of the job. Sellers wanted to know why their home hadn’t sold, buyers wanted their opinions heard, and communication was something Estate Agents actually valued.

They were good times.

And guess what? Berry and George are still very much in those times… although we’ve dragged ourselves into the 21st century too (we do own computers, promise).

That’s exactly why I set Berry and George up. To make selling and buying your home easier. Simple as that.

We’re unlike most agents. We’re available seven days a week, including outside normal office hours, because let’s face it, that’s when people actually need us. Homes don’t get bought and sold purely between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday.

Don’t just take my word for it either. Have a read of our Google Reviews — written by real people, just like you, who have experienced exactly what I’m talking about.

And while we’re talking about making life easier, the same applies to your mortgage. I’d highly recommend speaking to Beth at Love Mortgages. She’s an award-winning adviser and has been voted Mortgage Broker of the Year three years running. The advice is free, and the reviews speak for themselves — just Google “Love Mortgages Mold” and see what people are saying.

Right, enough about Berry and George. Let’s talk about this fabulous home…

Cottages ‘like this’ are your first time buyers ideal home, easy to maintain and decent sized accommodation that includes; a lounge, two double bedrooms, a stylish bathroom, private parking and an easily accessible location.

Just off the A494that links Mold to the A55, sits Davies Cottages. This was built in the early 1900’s, built by cloth cap wearing men who smoked woodbines, when homes were built to last!

The front door is located at the side of the home. Three square glass panels and a window to the side of the door allow ample light to flow into the generously sized entrance hallway.

Parquet flooring adorns the floor and continues throughout the ground area, proving that budgets were not set back in the day when these cottages were built. A turned staircase rises to the first floor, obviously, and doors open to the rest of the accommodation.

The first door on our right, opens to the lounge. The parquet floor retains a sense of grandure, with another fabulous feature being the multi-fuel burner. Exposed stone compliments the hearth and will provide you with more heat than you’ll ever need, but also give you an ambiance that will set the mood for a good ‘Move Night’. A large double glazed window protects you from any road noise and allows ample light to flood in.

From the hallway an open doorway leads us into the kitchen. Granite work-tops run down two sides in here, providing you with a place to prepare food and a home for our beloved 21st Century gadgets that we’ve become so attached to. A Belfast sink ago proves that no cut backs were made when supplying this kitchen. A window looks out over the side of the home, while a stable door gives a feeling of letting the outside roll in.

Moving upstairs, we come to a landing that is kept nice and light thanks to a window perched at the high end of the wall. Beamed ceilings provide that cottage feel, whilst holding the home together.

The main bedroom is a generous double, with an original wooden floor to add authenticity. There is ample space in here for a large double bed as well as all the free standing furniture that a bedroom is going to need. The window looks out over the front aspect and allows the light to flow in uninterrupted.

The second bedroom is at the other end of the house, not as large as the main, as you’d expect, but it’s still a decent sized bedroom. Currently it houses a bunkbed for the two children, although how you configure it, depends on your needs. The window looks out over the fabulous rear elevation and forest behind.

The family bathroom is a good size, considering this is a two bedroom home. There’s a large P-shaped bath, a glass folding screen to prevent overspill from the massive ‘Norman Bates’* shower head. The bowel shaped sink is perched onto of a rustic chest, with its partner in crime, a chrome waterfall mixer tap, sitting right beside it. The must have toilet is located right next to the frosted window, great for letting the light in, even better at keeping those prying eyes out – not that it’s that kind of woodland behind! A beamed ceiling provides character, whilst holding the roof up too, and tiles cover much of the walls to make for easy cleaning.

Stepping outside, we have a large concrete area for parking multiple vehicles, with a smaller area of lawn to keep the gardener inside you happy. There is plenty of space to set the BBQ up, invite some friends or family around, enjoy some good food and a nice cold drink. Large bushes and mature trees keep the area very private.

All in all, this is a great first home, last home, investment two bedroom cottage, there’s a generous lounge, spacious hallway, stylish kitchen with Belfast sink and granite worktops, fabulous bathroom, ample off road parking and a private driveway to park all of your cars and backing onto woodlands, so pretty private too…..so give Berry and George a call today, it’ll be the best thing you do all day…unless you’re, film star, racing driver etc, in which case, it’ll be the 2nd best thing you do!

About Berry and George, Mold

16-18 Chester Street, Mold, CH7 1EG

Berry and George is a family business, after my two children, Hallie (Berry) and Steve....only kidding, he's called George! I started this business to make a difference after I was totally let down by a local agent when my father was terminally ill. You can verify this, just check out our fabulous reviews, you'll see this is all backed up by our many 5 Star Google Reviews, the highest for any agent in Flintshire.

Having been through the house buying process many times in my life, I understand first hand from your side how stressful a time it can be, that's why we aim to not only provide an exceptional marketing package, but also an excellent tailored service to ensure we can make your move as comfortable as we can.

We work alongside some excellent partners who can help in the process, such as an independent mortgage broker service and independent local solicitors, so whatever help you need, we are here to help you.

We charge a set fee with no hidden extras and are quite unique in that we are open for you 7 days a week and have no contract to tie you in, Berry and George is like no other Estate Agent.
