The flat building has a modern and attractive design that combines style with practicality. The exterior is well maintained, and the layout of the apartments makes good use of space, providing comfortable and functional living areas. Large windows allow plenty of natural light, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

Greatness Awaits
The James is designed for a space of opportunity, the vast amount of resources available such as a social space, work space and gym provide everyday needs.
The reception is a great welcome hub that allows any kind of enquiry to be made and resolved. The pigeon box for letters is a homely and organised collection. The garden terrace also provides a space for some fresh air especially in hot weather.
The management team are the heart of all of this, being the core of what The James represents. I like to think that they are excited about the potential of the people who live there and also the people who live in Sheffield.
It’s fantastic to see the podcast space being used by rising social media presences and I hope they continue host these people as they bring a new wave of inspiration and knowledge in an ever changing world.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living on a very popular street for nightlife has proven to be less daunting as one might expect.
The James from the first flat viewing ensured that the windows were designed for full sound installation which prevented sleepless nights on the busy evenings.
Naturally, West Street is a fantastic location for restaurants/bars/shops to name a few. Also convenient for groceries and close to the hospital and train station. Transportation being easily accessible via the Supertram stop less than a minute walk.
Parking availablity can be a premium but can be accessed for free street parking on Westfield Street in the off peak hours of the night allowing for easy accessibility.
Bin collections are unnoticeable with the perk of the bin area being a tidy and well kept space with a water tap and sanitiser to disinfect handheld bins provided by the accommodation.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Quickly and with efficiency. I never had any issues that were long-term. Usually resolved within 48 working hours
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Possibly dealing with the heat, easy to underestimate but buying a fan and also getting out of the flat is important.

We loved living here!
The design aspect of the James is great, it is very modern and you can't hear your neighbors. It is great for community living. The building management and property management are great- nothing is ever too big to ask. The gym is great for beginners.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Being in the centre of the city has plenty of perks. It is very central and easy to get around. It can be a bit loud at times but that will automatically come with living in teh city centre.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We did have to push in order to get a couch but eventually in the end we were able to get one. Other tahn that any repairs or maintanence issues were dealt with promptly even though there were really issues in the flat.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The flat itself is pretty straight forward. The noise can get a bit much especially because there are night clubs across the street but that has got nothing to do with the James

Great place
Excellent property, very modern and chic, with the latest developments included in every studio. Extremely clean and well managed, with tailored fittings built in for every residence.
In terms of property management, the staff are all very nice and extremely helpful when in need, being very proactive about any issues that may arise and solving anything extremely quickly when things occur outside of their control.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great place, located in a central position in the city centre of Sheffield. The downside is the proximity to multiple bars, which can cause quite a bit of noise during weekends, especially at night times.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Very quick turnaround times for any issues that I have encountered so far.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Would have been great to know that the street-facing studios can get a bit noisy because of the proximity to the bars across the street.
