Description

Created with a design ethos centred around celebrating sustainable materials, the boat has been carefully crafted using responsibly sourced timber throughout. Rich tones, aged brass fittings supplied by Corston and bespoke joinery combine to create a home that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The heart of the boat is a generous bespoke kitchen crafted from FSC-certified birch plywood and walnut. Full-height pantry storage sits alongside integrated appliances. Throughout the interior, reclaimed timber from the owners' family arboretum has been thoughtfully incorporated into shelving, the stern doors and swan hatch, bringing character and a sense of history to the space. Inspired by Britain's shipbuilding heritage, the portholes have been handcrafted from water-resistant ancient elm sourced through London timber specialists Fallen & Felled.

The living area is spacious and filled with natural light thanks to an impressive 2m x 1m skylight overhead. Bespoke birch plywood shelving and an integrated log store frame a minimalist cast-iron Ekol wood-burning stove, creating a natural focal point within the room. Continuous birch cladding draws the eye through the boat towards the bedroom, reinforcing a sense of flow and openness.

The bedroom has been designed as a calm and restful retreat, featuring custom shelving formed from copper and live-edge elm. In the bathroom, Japanese-inspired finger tiles sit alongside birch plywood and solid oak cabinetry, finished using a traditional ebonising process that creates a beautifully textured black surface whilst enhancing the oak's natural durability.

Built as a custom 60ft x 12ft 6in round-stern widebeam, the hull is fully insulated and fitted with double-glazed windows throughout, ensuring warmth and efficiency in all seasons. Heating is provided by both a 5kW Webasto central heating system and a 4.5kW wood-burning stove, creating a comfortable living environment whether moored or cruising.

The boat has been equipped for extended off-grid living, with a substantial solar installation feeding a Victron power system, allowing it to operate independently when away from shore power. A 500-litre freshwater tank and five-stage filtration system support longer periods on the water, whilst an integrated washing machine and advanced composting toilet provide the practicalities required for full-time living. Powered by a Canaline 52 diesel engine and finished with bespoke exterior paintwork, the boat offers the perfect balance of cruising capability and residential comfort.

The vessel benefits from a new Boat Safety Certificate issued in March 2026, valid for four years, providing peace of mind for prospective owners.

Important Notice: This sale relates to the vessel only and does not include the mooring. Current mooring fees at Elizabeth Wharf are approximately £1,400 per month and are uniquely transferable to the new owner but not obligatory.

Elizabeth Wharf is an exclusive residential mooring situated along a peaceful stretch of the Grand Union Canal, just moments from Limehouse Basin and a short walk from Mile End Park and Victoria Park. Its central London location offers a rare combination of connectivity and tranquillity, providing more privacy than a traditional marina while retaining a strong connection to the city's waterways.

Surrounded by mature trees and the gentle movement of canal life, the setting feels remarkably secluded despite being within easy reach of Canary Wharf, the City and East London's vibrant cultural scene. An independent canalside restaurant and an Italian-Japanese coffee shop are both less than five minutes away on foot—or by canoe directly from the wharf.

With waterside walks, green open spaces and some of East London's most loved neighbourhoods close at hand, Elizabeth Wharf offers a unique opportunity to experience.
