Description
A well maintained bungalow with an EPC C rating. Double glazed windows installed about 5 years ago and fully insulated. The bathroom and kitchen are older style and buyers may wish to update these, otherwise the bungalow is well presented. A porch leads into an 'L' shaped hallway with a double cloaks cupboard, access to attic via a ladder, and airing cupboard with radiator. The Sitting Room has a pleasant outlook over the garden with a window and door out to the patio. There is an open fireplace with no surround as it has not been used for some time but there is a chimney, and a gas point to one side. The kitchen has dated units but is in amazingly good condition for its age. Currently there is an electric cooker but there is a gas point behind the units. A stainless steel double drainer sink unit has a large window above, enjoying the garden view. Space and plumbing for a washing machine and a tall fridge/freezer. Door to the garden and wall mounted Baxi Gas fired combination boiler (believed to have been installed in the last few years tbc.)
There are two good size double bedrooms, one of which had a double built-in wardrobe and both with windows overlooking the front garden. The bathroom has a white suite with aqua panels around the bath and shower which has a screen. Wash basin and w.c, heated towel rail, window and glass fronted cabinet.
Services: Mains gas, electric and drainage. EPC C. Tax Band D.
Outside: A herringbone brick driveway provides parking for at least three cars and leads to the DETACHED SINGLE GARAGE with power and light, double glazed window and side door. The front garden is laid to lawn with some young trees and a variety of flowering plants and shrubs in the abundant flower borders. A gate secures the back garden, which is also full of lovely flowering plants and shrubs, a mature hedge to the rear and a pretty small garden pond. Behind the garage is a small area of garden which is sheltered. The garden will delight gardeners.
Downsview, is a sought after residential area of 1930's bungalows. It is popular and convenient for the High Street and also Sainsbury's and Waitrose within walking distance. There is also a local Flexibus that comes along the road on a Tuesday and Thursday. Other buses go from the High Street to Uckfield, Lewes and Brighton.
The High Street has a good selection of shops, a doctor's surgery and medical amenities. There are local churches, primary schools and a secondary school. The town has a good community with many annual events along with a variety of local clubs and societies to suit all ages.
Directions: From the High Street, proceed in a easterly direction up Mutton Hall Hill. Take the first turning on the right hand side into Marshlands Lane. Continue around the left bend and turn left into Cuckoo Drive. Take the first right into Downsview and the property will be found on the right hand side.
