Description
What it’s got.
Imagine waking up just moments from the water, enjoying your morning coffee in the sunshine before taking a stroll to the beach or harbour. Positioned on a generous corner plot in one of Poole's most desirable locations, this beautifully renovated three double bedroom detached bungalow offers an exceptional lifestyle, combining contemporary living with exciting future potential.
At the heart of the home is an impressive open plan lounge and dining room, flooded with natural light and opening effortlessly onto the garden through stunning bi-folding doors. Whether you're entertaining friends on a summer's evening, hosting family celebrations or simply enjoying a quiet night in, this is a space designed to bring people together. From this room you effortlessly lead onto the ‘all year round’ covered porch where you can either sit in front of a chiminea or firepit whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple whilst watching your favourite tv programme.
The stylish kitchen and breakfast room is equally inviting, providing the perfect place for busy family mornings, relaxed weekend brunches or preparing meals while remaining connected to the rest of the home and the benefit of a walk in larder.
All three bedrooms are generous doubles, offering flexibility for growing families, visiting guests or those working from home. The principal bedroom enjoys its own ensuite with patio doors leading onto a rear patio area, ideal for morning coffee. The main family bathroom completes this level.
The enclosed landscaped garden is a generous size wrapping around the bungalow with an array of mature tree, shrub and flower borders. There are several seating areas and as mentioned before the undercover porch is a perfect place to unwind or get out of the sun on a hot summers day.
Lovingly modernised by the current owners, the property is ready to move straight into while still offering enormous scope to make it your own. Subject to the necessary permissions, the spacious loft presents an exciting opportunity to create additional bedrooms or living accommodation, allowing the home to grow alongside your family.
One of this property's standout features is the incredible amount of storage and versatility on offer. The double garage and substantial basement provide endless possibilities, whether you're looking for a workshop, home gym, hobby space or somewhere secure to store paddleboards, kayaks, sailing equipment, bikes or classic cars. It's the perfect home for those who embrace the coastal lifestyle.
Outside, the generous corner plot offers privacy and space to enjoy throughout the seasons, with plenty of potential to further extend or landscape to your own taste.
Families will appreciate being within the highly regarded Lilliput and Baden Powell school catchments, while the surrounding area offers everything that makes this part of Poole so special. Award winning beaches, the picturesque harbourside, Salterns Marina, Parkstone Golf Club, Whitecliff Park, independent cafés, restaurants and excellent transport links are all within easy reach, making everyday life feel like a holiday.
Homes in this location rarely offer such a wonderful combination of move in ready accommodation, generous outside space, future potential and an enviable lifestyle. Whether you're upsizing, downsizing without compromise or searching for your forever home by the coast, this is a property that truly offers the best of both worlds.
Agents Note- The loft can be accessed via a pull down staircase, this area is great space and could easily be converted in large master suite or further living space, subject to the usual planning consents.
What the owners say.
"We have absolutely loved living here. One of the things we'll miss most is the peace and quiet, while still being just a short walk from the beach. It really has given us the best of both worlds.
We often head out for walks to the nearby viewpoints to take in the stunning coastal scenery, and on warm evenings there's nothing better than strolling down to the marinas to enjoy a sundowner and watch the boats come and go. It's a wonderful lifestyle that has made every day feel that little bit more special.
The garden has been a real sanctuary for us. It's fully enclosed, making it perfect for pets, and there's always somewhere to sit, whether you want to soak up the sunshine or relax in a hammock beneath the mature trees on those hotter summer days. The covered terrace is where we spend a lot of time all year round, rain or shine. It’s a wonderful spot to have breakfast or curl up with a book.
The house is always flooded with light, but still has a homely feel, especially in the winter, when we love relaxing in front of the open fire with a glass of wine.
The space has also worked brilliantly for us. The garages beneath the house have been ideal for storage, hobbies and keeping our classic car protected from the weather. The large driveway has easily accommodated our boat, caravan and visiting family and friends, with parking for four or more cars without ever feeling crowded.
Leaving won't be easy, as this home has given us so many happy memories. We hope the next owners enjoy the same wonderful lifestyle, peaceful setting and incredible coastal location that we've been so lucky to call home."
Where it is.
Few locations in Poole offer the lifestyle that Lilliput does. Perfectly positioned between the award winning beaches of Sandbanks and the vibrant harbourside at Whitecliff, it's easy to see why this is one of the area's most sought after places to call home.
Whether you enjoy early morning paddleboarding on the harbour, coastal walks with the family, sailing from nearby Salterns or Parkstones Marina or simply relaxing with a coffee overlooking the water, everything is right on your doorstep. Evenings can be spent enjoying the fantastic selection of independent cafés, restaurants and bars, while weekends are made for beach days, cycling along the shoreline or exploring the many beauty spots the area has to offer.
Families are particularly drawn to the area thanks to its highly regarded schools, including the ever popular Lilliput and Baden Powell schools, making it a location where many people choose to put down roots for years to come.
For commuters, excellent transport links provide easy access into Poole, Bournemouth and beyond, while Parkstone Railway Station offers direct services to London Waterloo. Despite its superb connectivity, Lilliput retains a wonderful village feel, with local shops, amenities and a strong sense of community all within easy reach.
