Paleokastro is a small settlement at the northern tip of Evia, in the Artemisio area, facing the open Aegean. This house sits directly on the shore: the pebble beach is a few steps from the front door, and the sea is the immediate foreground from the ground-floor terrace. There is nothing between the front garden and the water.

The property covers 106 sqm across two floors, with a 15 sqm basement below. It rests on a 422 sqm plot, while also included in the sale is the directly neighbouring 875 sqm plot, giving a total of 1297 sqm. The architecture follows the classic northern Evia residential type: white rendered walls, a terracotta-tiled roof, and warm timber-framed windows that suit the coastal setting without overpowering it. The basement adds 15 sqm of practical storage, useful for a house in regular use: beach equipment, seasonal items, and the accumulated necessities of a place that actually gets lived in.

Location - distances
Northern Evia has not been reshaped by tourism in the way that parts of the Aegean coast have. The villages here belong to permanent local communities; fishing boats still go out, and the tavernas that exist here serve the people who live here, not a passing seasonal trade. This gives the northern tip of the island a character that is increasingly rare in accessible parts of Greece.

Cape Artemisio is immediately nearby. This is where the Artemision Bronze was recovered from the sea in 1928: the standing figure of Zeus or Poseidon in full extension, now considered among the finest surviving works of classical Greek art and displayed in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. The context adds depth to the location that most coastal properties in Greece cannot claim.

Access from Athens runs via the Chalkida bridge and the length of the island, approximately three hours by car. A ferry crossing from Glyfa on the mainland to Agiokkampos on the northern coast offers an alternative for travellers approaching from central Greece.
