Description

BRICKWORKS SAYS

Set on a quiet street in Tottenham, this one-bedroom flat is designed to make the most of its footprint. It holds a fluid connection with the outdoors that's unusual for a first-floor home; the living space opens onto a full-width terrace, and there's a second terrace set off the bedroom, blurring the line between inside and out across the home. Gazing over the green canopy is a small daily luxury that quickly becomes routine.

Inside, the layout is clean and considered. The kitchen is tucked neatly to the back, leaving the rest of the light-filled space for relaxing, dining, yoga, or nothing at all. The double bedroom has built-in wardrobes and a hallway store room keeps practicalities in check, so the flat stays calm and uncluttered.

Tottenham’s food scene is temptingly close. The Salisbury brings characterful pub evenings, 33’s The Old Grocery Store takes care of cocktails, and Gejeret is a go-to for Ethiopian and Eritrean. Seven Sisters is a 10-minute walk, so getting across London is straightforward when you need it, and easy to forget when you don’t.

THE OWNER SAYS

We have absolutely loved living here. One of our favourite parts has always been the big balcony, which becomes an extension of the living room on spring and summer days. We open the folding doors all the way and have coffee sitting in the sunshine, or have friends over for drinks on warm evenings.

Since putting a bird feeder outside we've had a stream of visitors, including a woodpecker — it feels like a real oasis! And the big windows mean the flat still feels light on those not-so-sunny London days.

The location is a great combination, being a short walk from Seven Sisters station and two bustling high streets, West Green Road and Green Lanes, yet located on a really quiet street with almost no traffic. The main outside noise we get is the church bells on Sundays.
