Description

Property Description

This fantastic two-bedroom home offers bright, spacious and thoughtfully reconfigured accommodation, perfect for modern living.

To the front of the property, a cosy yet light-filled snug lounge enjoys a charming bay window, creating a warm and welcoming space to relax. To the rear, the property has been extended to provide an impressive open-plan dining/breakfast room, seamlessly flowing into a well appointed kitchen with built in appliances. Beyond the kitchen is a useful lobby area and cloakroom with French doors leading outside, enhancing the connection between the indoor and outdoor living spaces.

The sunny, south-facing rear garden is ideal for entertaining or unwinding, featuring a patio area and outhouse, perfect as a hot tub room or providing excellent additional storage.

Upstairs, the accommodation has been cleverly reconfigured to maximise space. The generous second bedroom is complemented by a spacious family bathroom, while the impressive principal bedroom is flooded with natural light from two windows and benefits from a superb walk-in wardrobe.

A real bonus is the boarded loft, complete with Velux windows. While not officially classified as a habitable room, it is currently used as a peaceful home office, offering a versatile space ideal for those working from home or seeking a quiet retreat.

This is a wonderful home that combines character, practicality and flexible living space, all complemented by a desirable south-facing garden.

Sellers View

Living here has been everything I could have asked for. Reading West station is on the doorstep — London Paddington in under 30 minutes, which genuinely changes how you live and work.

The house has been extensively renovated, a modern open-plan kitchen diner at its heart, a refreshed bathroom, and a converted loft that I've used as a dedicated workspace — boarded, powered, and flooded with natural light from a Velux skylight.

Step outside and the south-facing garden catches the sun all day, with a patio and summerhouse that make it a proper extension of the home. Within 15 minutes on foot you have the River Thames in one direction and Reading town centre in the other. This house has served me incredibly well, and I hope it does the same for whoever calls it home next.

Debbie and Andre's View
This home is in a fantastic location, with supermarkets, the town centre and excellent commuter links all within easy reach. The property has been thoughtfully extended, and we particularly love the open-plan kitchen and dining area, which creates a brilliant space for everyday family life as well as entertaining.

The addition of the downstairs cloakroom by the current owner is a real bonus and adds even more flexibility, especially for young families. Upstairs feels surprisingly spacious, with a generous second bedroom and a well-proportioned family bathroom.

Our favourite room has to be the principal bedroom. It's wonderfully light and airy, and the walk-in wardrobe is such a great feature, providing plenty of storage without compromising the bedroom's overall size.

The current owner has also made great use of the loft by boarding it out and adding windows, creating a peaceful office space. We can't claim it's an official room, but it's a fantastic bonus area that's ideal for working from home or simply enjoying a quiet retreat. This really is a great home, which would suit single, couple or young family!
