Ref. BELMCK - Belarga is a pretty village in rural Occitanie with the beautiful Herault river running through it. There's a local shop/café and the village is extremely well-placed for Montpellier, Pézenas, Béziers and Paulhan. Its about 20 minutes to the coast and about the same to the uplands of the breathtaking Lodévois.

This charming village house has been thoughtfully updated to retain its classic character while giving modern comfort.

Painted white throughout, it feels bright and welcoming and accentuates the original dark wood beams for an authentic Languedoc aesthetic.

Through the front door and into a fully fitted kitchen, this sets the theme throughout - practical, stylish and well thought out. To the left there is an L-shaped reception space that flows from a comfortable sitting room to a good-sized dining area at the rear. There’s a fireplace that serves the entire space - a cosy focal point for cooler evenings.

A guest WC is at the foot of the stairwell.

There are three decent sized bedrooms on the first floor. One is an interior room with no external windows, beautifully cool in the summer and dark for light-sensitive sleepers. Also on this floor is a shower room with WC and washbasin.

A further climb up the staircase and the second floor opens with a generous terrace - large enough for a day bed and a table with six chairs. The terrace gives both full sun and shade options and has both water and electrical points. There are lovely views across the rooftops and greenery of the village

Off the terrace, in the eaves, is the largest of the bedrooms. It’s characterful, and private. Sleeping with the sliding doors open onto the terrace will provide a welcome breeze in the summer months. The bedroom has a sink and countertop that can also be used as a summer kitchen making your time on the terrace effort-free and easy. A spacious shower room with wash basin and WC completes the top floor.

The house benefits from double glazing throughout and a fully replaced roof in 2014.
